⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really like this salt and pepper grinder. It works smoothly and is very easy to use. The grinding is even and consistent, and the material feels strong and well made. It has a nice design that looks great in the kitchen.

I've owned a few different brands and types of grinders before, and these are quite similar. The last set I purchased had the exact same grinder heads, just on smaller glass bottoms. The grinders on those became, unfortunately, unusable due to clogging that resulted in breakage of the ceramic gear. I worry that, since these new grinders have the same heads on them, that these won't last longer than the last set. However, I read reviews of the "best" grinders out there, and these came just behind a more (much more) expensive set with metal gears instead of ceramic. They'd last longer, you might think, however, it was also mentioned that salt corrodes metal and so that's why the vast majority of grinders, mostly intended for use with salt, are made of ceramic. So why would I spend five times the price on the expensive ones? So far, I'm very pleased with this set. They're much more comfortable to use than my previous set, which had way smaller glass bases. I can really get a good grip on these. The little "dial" on the bottom, to adjust the coarseness of the grind, moves very smoothly on these. It was so difficult to turn the dials on the previous set - and mind you, these are exactly the same as the new ones - that I had to use a pair of pliers to turn them. Strange. I see this identical grinding mechanism on several of the grinders available on Amazon, so it makes sense to assume they're all sourced from the same manufacturer by different vendors. These also hold about twice the amount as my previous set - not a major hassle to refill, but nice not to have to bother with it as often. Quite elegant looking, too. The set comes with a nifty metal holder with prongs on either side that the grinders snap into place securely for transport from kitchen to dining table. They're inexpensive enough that you can easily afford to buy two sets for each end of your table. That's a nice touch if you're having several dinner guests or a large family, so you don't have to pass the salt and pepper around. I guess the $100 set with the metal gears might last longer, even with inevitable salt corrosion, but these will likely last a good long while with their ceramic gears and, if they do break down sooner, at least you could buy four or five of these sets for the same price. I recommend this set.

Excellent quality! The grinder works well and is easily adjustable. Very easy to turn and seems to be very well made. It feels high-quality and is the perfect size for a standard kitchen. Definitely recommend.

I'm never going back to an electric grinder again!!! I like my pepper on the fine side - I don't like to bite into a chunk of peppercorn. With those electric grinders, the peppercorns get stuck and the motors don't have enough 'oompf' to plow through. This handy dandy grinder absolutely does! I'm able to easily adjust the size of the grind and the mechanism is smooth and easy to handle. The shape feels good in my hand and the 1/2 cup container is a great size. You don't have to refill it too often. Between the shape of the grinders and the holder, I feel it looks nice on my table. I couldn't be more pleased!!

(Writing this review in 3/2026) I originally bought these in 2/2021 and have used them EXTENSIVELY as I enjoy cooking and they have worked flawlessly for me. I recently moved to SW Florida from up near Chicago and was taking them apart to clean when the grind-size adjustment on the salt just snapped...rendering that grinder useless. If you live in southern, more humid climes, take the grinder apart to clean more often. I seems as though there was corrosion that formed between the stainless steel and the brass ferrule on the grinding adjustment (different metals, etc....). The salt must have compounded the issue as the pepper-grinder does not have this problem. Aside from that, it's a fantastic set!

These S/P grinders are simple but I love it. I've purchased several grinders over the years. Some powered, a set using levers to grind, other manual twisters — each with cute features — that all had flaws with filling ease or the powered versions just quit working. This set is so easy to fill, adjust, and use, look, and feel great in hand, and don't break the bank with gimmicks. This set is form and function at its best. UPDATE: So I purchased this set in Nov of 2024. As you can see, it was love. Of late, the grinders have become problematic…especially the salt grinder. The salt grinder got to where even adjust the grind size because it took all I could do to even get the adjustment screw cap to screw on. Salt was getting trapped so I disassembled the grinder cap and cleaned it over and over. With each use, the grinder got more loose. Tonight, it finally gave up. No. These grinders aren’t extremely expensive but, from the reviews and ratings, I’m highly surprised and disappointed.

THIS SET, I LOVE! Absolutely love. When you buy something that you can't see and physically touch- You're always rolling the dice And whether or not you'll like what you receive.. I have bought a few grinder sets in the past, use for a bit and then toss, and back to buy another. This set is a keeper! It washed well, was easy to fill with a wider mouth opening and the grider worked perfectly. I also like having the ability of changing the coarseness, as our household members have different preferences. Looks nice on my table, and the stand was an added bonus. The size is large enough to not have to refill as often but not to big to look out of place. A good price, they look nice, nice grip and durability. I will be buying a couple more sets as gifts to those that have been here for dinner and mentioned that like them as well. I have no 'cons' to list on the product. I love everything about it. Look no further- you'll be pleasantly pleased.

Die Mühlen sehen gut aus, haben den Probelauf gut überstanden. Längerfristigen Gebrauchswert wird die Zeit zeigen. Was mir nicht so gefällt, ist der Ständer aber das wäre Meckern auf hohem Niveau für den Preis völlig in Ordnung.
