Very pleased with this little French press. Works great for camping. I like the fact that the glass is somewhat protected with the plastic holder. Highly recommended.

It’s a little smaller than I thought it was going to be but I’m not a huge coffee drinker so that’s not a big issue. The small holds 12 ounces.To use it is really straightforward. The directions are on the side of the box. You just have to add some hot water about halfway to get the glass tempered for the hot water you’re going to add to make the coffee. The directions say to add the coffee first, and then pour the hot brewing water over the grounds, but I goofed and added the grounds to the top of the water, but it still did an excellent job in brewing the coffee after I stirred, the grounds. I used two heaping tablespoons of Chock Full o’Nuts coffee, capped it, and let it steep for four minutes (per the directions). The coffee came out perfectly. If you’re not someone who drinks a whole lot of coffee and doesn’t want to have to wait for a coffee maker to brew a pot, I think this is a good deal. I got it over 50% off so I paid just a little over $8.50 plus tax. I wouldn’t have paid the regular price for it but that’s a personal decision. 😉

The media could not be loaded. This press is too cute! It the perfect size for my daily caffeine fix. Works well. Spoon and extra filter is a plus. It’s very light weight. The only thing I’m not too fond of is the lid is not tightly secured so you have to hold top while pouring. My others press has a snug lid fit. The press won’t stay up at all….

I use this daily for loose tea and occasionally if I want one cup of coffee but don’t want to brew a whole pot. Works great, very affordable, solid construction, easy to clean, 20oz size is perfect for one large cup or two average size cups and best of all the taste of the tea or coffee is so much better using this press! I only hand wash and air dry so it should last many years just like my last one. I highly recommend!

I love it. Its perfect for one cup which is all I need in the morning one good size cup and it's so cute. I also love how the protective sleeve is attached to the glass so the class doesn't slipp out when you forget in the morning and are cleaning it out. I have broken more then one that way. Comes with a little coffee scoop and extra filter too

Works just as it should. Perfect size for me as one person. Small and light weight for camping.

Water gets trapped between plastic and glass, not allowing for full drying. Also view blocked from seeing by eye fluid levels. Plunges ok.

I purchased three of these: one to replace my Bodum (which was beginning to wear out and was not properly filtering the grounds); and two additional presses to give to some friends who, after tasting my coffee brewed in a French press, raved at the fantastic flavor. The Ovente does an excellent job, overall, and is considerably cheaper than most. The mesh filter is finer and softer than the Bodum and, consequently, does a very good job of preventing the coffee grounds from passing through to your cup. It is also very light and ergonomically comfortable to handle. Nonetheless, I believe the design could be improved by NOT gluing the glass beaker to the plastic holder. If the beaker were removable, it would be much easier to wash it, either by hand or in the dishwasher.My biggest complaint, however, is that of the three I ordered, two arrived with manufacturing defects. The base of one of the glass beakers was shattered; and the beaker of another was glued in such a manner that the pouring "spout" was out of alignment and poured off to one side. It was obvious that the defects did not occur in transit (both items were well-packed in their own individual boxes in addition to the Amazon shipping container). I returned the two that were defective and, of course, had no trouble whatsoever with Amazon. But be warned: if you purchase one of these, sight unseen, there is a possibility you might have to return it due to manufacturing defects.
