I use them trough the Apple HomeKit and Tread Border Router and they are very responsive, as much as much more expensive Hue ones. They are very bright, have a nice rich colours which are quite dark comparing to Hue but that’s not a big deal when taking in account how responsive they are , how bright they are on whites, how good app they have and of course the price. No Matter version supports Apple HomeKit Adaptive Lightning and has nice fade out effect when switching off. Highly recommended!

If you keep these on their own Thread network, and don't mix with other brands, they seem to work very well. I took out my Onvis and Aqara devices from that network and they became consistently good. (You can always create new Thread networks using another device, ie Home Assistant, Echo 4th gen, Google TV, Apple TV, etc) Also, don't add multiple TBR's into one network, as that is unreliable at the moment in Thread. Some of them have weak Bluetooth, and you need to get really close to them, or use a Tablet, which seems to work better.

Very poor performer. I have returned mine. Thanks to Amazon for a fantastic return process. These lights are bright, however, they are not very responsive. The delay between command and response cannot be more than 2 seconds and definitely not more than 3 seconds at the most. It is annoying if it is. In the case of these bulbs it is about 15 seconds!! That is deeply disturbing. Sometimes, you wait, and you try again, and after nearly 20 seconds, Alexa or the Homepod tells you that the light is unreachable or that it is not responding. The Philips Hue costs 13 x times more but the response time is less than 1 second. The Hue bridge is 7 or more years old and it still works. Yes the colours are good in this and the brightness is good. My Philips bulbs are 7 years old. Even considering that durability is identical, the response time alone is unacceptable. In reality the durability is unknown in these bulbs. But the price is cheap.

Easy to setup with Apple HomeKit, took but a few minutes, no need to DL the nanoleaf app unless you wanted to (I haven’t) bulbs respond quickly to colour/brightness changes, quicker than my Hue bulbs, will highly recommend

They work perfectly with Apple homekit hub. (Homepod / Mini, Apple TV). Functionality will be limited if they work alone.

These bulbs are actually really good. Nice and bright when they need to be and quick to respond to the app through Bluetooth. The colours are great too. However, connecting them to a Thread Border Router ONLY works if it is a HomeKit TBR (mine is Aeotec). I am returning these for that reason only and getting the Matter/Thread ones.

Everytime apple release an update the bulbs will get disconnected for few days.
