Wow, this classic footlocker (aka trunk) is the real thing. I'm impressed with the craftsmanship that went into building it. It's very heavy because it's lined with 3/4-inch birch plywood. You can purchase the version of this trunk with removable wheels, so moving it around will be no problem. When you open this trunk, you get the nice scent of milled wood. I am planning to put some cedar blocks and/or cedar sachets with lavender in it, to give it a really nice aroma. It's extra-large size means it has ample storage space. And it has a foldable arm attached inside the lid, which you can lock into place to hold the lid open, so that the lid will never accidentally close on you. Don't confuse this footlocker with much less expensive ones that are always floating around. Many, if not most, of those are lined inside with some cheap wood covered with vinyl. So when you open those trunks, you get the smell of glued-on vinyl wallpaper, and since trunks are meant to be kept closed, that stink never fades. I purchased this pink Rhino footlocker from Amazon resale at half the full retail price, so I was lucky in that regard. It arrived as promised: in "like new" condition. Very satisfied overall. Rhino offers them in a variety of colors. They are all nice-looking and could double as a coffee table.

We bought this trunk for my daughter to use at a week long summer camp. Nice and roomy and very sturdy. I recommend buying the optional wheels. It can get heavy when full.

Last year I had cheeped out and bought a different trunk for away camp. It didn’t make it one week before it broke. Lesson learned I can tell you this thing is sturdy.I have no doubts. It’s going to come back in one piece and service for many years to come. It is very large included a picture of my 100 pound dog testing it out. We got the light grey color and it’s cute. I imagine I may even be able to send my daughter to college with this thing. update - after several months 1 summer camp and 3 trips this thing is going strong!

I saw more expensive versions of the Rhino trunk on PBTeen and recalled I used to have a black trunk like this that I’d take to sleepaway camp. This makes a perfect night stand/bookcase/storage area for my tween. It’s perfect for tweens/teens to hide all the clutter in the trunk that we as rents don’t like to see! Looks perfect in my daughter’s vintage/coquette style bedroom!!

Really sturdy trunk, quite spacious, and overall visibly appealing. Came with two dents, which was disappointing considering the price.

This product is well made and feels sturdy. I think it is worth it to pay more for this item instead of a non-wood $100 version. I am using it to store bulky sweaters and other clothing items and it fits a ton.

Great trunk that held up to first year of camp and hopefully many more! It's exactly the right size for fitting under most camper bunk beds.
