Kitty approved and allergy approved! I’ve not noticed a smell but I keep this food in an airtight container. The size of the bag is great and it’s a great value for money. My vet says this food is healthy and good quality. The food pellets are hard and I hear him chomping at night but it doesn’t seem to be an issue for this kitten.

IT WORKS. I personally am not allergic to cats specifically however, I have generally sensitive allergies to pollen, dust, unclean animals/spaces, etc. and have a few close friends and a mom who is indeed allergic to cats. That said, I didn't want them to never see them again at my house because of my cat so I gave this food a try. YOU. GUYS. IT WORKS. I've had friends who are allergic to cats come over and not have their allergies kick up. My mom came over and was perfectly fine. I started feeding this to my first kitten at 7 weeks old and now at 6 months old, his coat has a certain shine to it and he seems incredibly healthy. I feed it to him twice a day (breakfast and lunch) and then feed him 1 can of Tiki wet food. After about two weeks of this routine, one of my friends who is allergic to cats was able to come over and was perfectly fine. I have now started this routine with a second kitten that is 4 months old I just got and am anticipating the same results. THIS ALL SAID, I must also add that I bathe my cats regularly using an anti-allergen shampoo despite the strong opinion out there that cats don't need baths. I still bathe them because I like to keep my home (and my cats) extra clean. They're my cats, it's my choice, and I don't need anyone's else's approval. I use the Allersearch Cat+ Anti-Allergen Cat Shampoo and bathe them every 2-3 weeks and I think this beats any lingering allergens that still exist on my cats after the food's effect (they actually love baths now lol). I also wipe the paws of my cats at least once a day (usually in the evenings before going to bed) and I vacuum very often. Call me a clean or neat freak but I firmly believe this all contributes to minimizing or eliminating allergens from my cats and I think this food is a strong reason for my success so far!

My DIL is allergic to cats, so I decided to try this food when I took in my other son’s cat while he is away. When I first got the cat, my DIL broke out within minutes of touching her. After a month on this food, my DIL can hold the cat with zero reaction. We have been using this food for over a year & zero allergy issues for my DIL.

The cats love it so much they have torn up the bag and we have to hide it from them. We are using this in combination with the ProPlan allergen reducing waterless "shampoo" and that seems to be really helping our allergy sufferers. Hooray! it's a premium priced product, but for something the cats like AND we get some benefit from - we find that it is still a good value. The food itself seems to also be a nice quality with good nutrition for the health of our little furballs as well. It's now part of our regular Subscribe & Save deliveries to be sure we never run out!
