very tedious to put together but worth it in the end, Lots of Storage and fits well in my Hobie Pro Angler 12

I was pretty excited to get this. Box is handy as hell can’t wait to get it on my kayak and hit the river. Spring can’t come soon enough. Instructions were extremely good and it was actually a lot of fun to assemble. Assembled weight is less than 5 pounds. Super functional, and very durable

Great product! Purchased to outfit my Old Town 106 PDL kayak and it's a perfect fit with the 12x16 model. Took a while to assemble but once together, is extremely functional. Great storage capacity and has stayed dry during rain showers. This crate offers a multitude of modular options and was designed with some thought. Good to see.

Yakattack quality as expected but pricey

I was on the fence about buying this. It's not inexpensive. However, I finally pulled the proverbial "add to cart" trigger and I'm glad I did. In my opinion, this is a quality crate. It really gives you the impression that it was engineered and not just a bunch of parts thrown together in a box. It's not waterproof, but neither is a milk crate. You will spend some time putting this together, but it's not difficult. I thought the instructions were pretty clear, you just have to look really closely at a couple of the pictures to get the orientation of certain parts correct. Or you can go to YouTube and find a few videos there. I'd rather put it together myself and know that none of the screw holes are stripped out versus someone at a factory in China that doesn't care.

I love this thing but putting it together took way longer than anticipated...good thing you only have to do it once! The size is great for my standup and I'm sure it will be a perfect match for any decent size yak. I like the grab handles and side rod holders which allow for easy transportation and storage. Speaking of which, there's lots of room with the 16"x16" to fit all your tackle boxes, scale, water bottle etc. I would be cool to see a modular system to organize the inside better but I suppose one can make something out of plywood, PVC or whatever. Overall, the quality is there and it will last for years to come unless you're hard on your gear as it is made out of plastic.

Get a drill to put it together. I did it by hand and that took forever and was frustrating but once it was together, it fit all my tackle on the back of my kayak in a nice organized manner. I love it. I upgraded from a milk crate and it’s definitely worth the extra money. I can tip the kayak and have peace of mind that I’m not losing my gear. Secure and easy to transport from truck to kayak. Very sturdy. I use it to go back and forth between the kayak and the boat so my fishing gear is always in one spot and I don’t have to repack. I’ve used it as an extra seat on the boat when anchored and stood on it to fish as well. It is durable. Definitely recommend it.

The best of the best. Putting it together is a bit tedious but at the end of the day well worth it highest quality tackle box I have ever owned.
