Kitaboshi Lead Holder 2mm (OTP-580N)

I love nice writing implements. Pens, pencils, chalk on a garage floor.... This is my go to pencil for meetings. It's extremely comfortable to handle and is unassuming unless people look closely. It says to the office that I'm not committed to pen on paper, these scribbles can be erased. At the same time it's a step above the others frantically scribbling and clicking away on their 0.7mm leads. One of my best intoxicated impulse buys ever.

One of the best mechanical pencils I've ever come across. The lead holder advance mechanism works incrementally exceedingly well, unlike most lead holders which don't have this feature. The wooden outer layer feels very comfortable to hold and is very well balanced. My only slight negative would be a lack of a pocket clip, but with most artists or drafters this wouldn't be a problem. At this price point for me it was a no-brainer.
