Saint hydraulic disc brakes are designed for performance and feel above all else. The 4-piston, dual-diameter caliper accommodates more oil for better temperature management while maintaining superior modulation and improving pad wear. The Servo-Wave levers allow for quicker pad contact, free stroke adjustment and tool free reach adjustment, all of which allow you to dial in the perfect feel no matter where you happen to be riding. Rotor not included.

pads rattling !
Go with sram i really regret buying these ... the lever is the only thing that i like but the break system is so weak compared to the low end sram guide r breaks ... it's so funny and this is with the metallic pads ! ... so sad i wasted my money on them never buying shimano breaks again .. the breaks also rubs in every single bump ... thanks to the floating pads system ... in the other breaks brand they use the floating only on the rotor ! Not on the break pads ?!! Like shimano saint !!! this is new to me lol ... the pads is dancing all the time ... so stupid i mean with dancing it dose rattling all the time ! and it has no fix unless if u gonna use the ( U ) pin pads try to separate it as much as u can or u can just use u pin with a higher diameter ,,,

never worry about stopping !!!!
if you want something to depend on to make sure you stop, this is it. excellent product and very user friendly. more brake than you should ever need. DH and FREERIDERS use it as mainstay. You wont be sorry!!!! (if you are a weight wennie they are a bit heavy). Please note that if you buy from NIAGRA they take there sweet time sending product. when i sent an e-mail asking what was taking so long to send? they explained that we say additional 3 to 4 days to process. OK, great so they are lazy and dont care when you get what you pay for ahead of time. they should work on running a more efficient business. I wonder what happens if you want to return ????? IF you can buy from AMAZON LLC do it, way more user friendly.

heavy is the only negative
Now if you want to have the most powerful brakes, the Saints are them. The only drawback is the weight, so probably not the best choice for an all-mountain or enduro bike, but for downhill, these quad piston brakes are awesome. But if you really need to stop quickly, I guess that is what the weight it from.

I am very happy with my upgrade to Saint brakes.
Really excellent brakes. I won't say which brakes these are replacing because part of their defectiveness was my fault. But these are a massive upgrade even from when my original brakes were working "properly". They are relatively quiet so far, and I will probably upgrade to the saint for my rear brake next season as well. I have been using them for 3 months now, and they have not given me any trouble, just given me solid breaking with comfortable haptics.I tried to install the 205mm rotor, but there is a little notch in my fork that gets in the way and keeps it from spinning. Whoops! I got the correct bracket/adapter (Post/IS 160mm) for my fork, and the 160mm Shimano rotor, and everything lines up and works great. I saved the 205mm rotor to use on the back. There is nothing back there to get in the way.

Good brakes
I have no complaints. It's got power when needed. Brakes can be adjusted to how a rider chooses to brake.. I will continue to buy shimano products.

Beefiest brake for a full suspension tandem
I wanted the most powerful brake I could get to put on the front of my Ellsworth full suspension tandem with 203 Magura Storm rotors. We ride 2,000' hills in the Santa Cruz mountains. The feel is so refined compared to the Magura Gustav brakes that I melted. Before they were discontinued, they had the title of the best brake. They are almost as plush as the XTR brakes on my XC bike. Being pre-bled, all I had to do was bolt them on to the bike and top up the reservoir.
