I use mine while metal detecting I like that they're plastic because they're lightweight and the scoop doesn't make the metal detector go off I use them mostly in dry sand but when I use them in wet sand and I get a signal I walk down to the waterfront and let the ocean rinse the sand away revealing the metal object like I said it's made of plastic don't beat it up like it's made of metal and you should be pleased I have seen other reviews where people say it breaks where the handle attaches to the scoop I haven't had that problem but I think it's important to make sure that it is well seated when you assemble it if you want extra protection you could epoxy the handle when you put it together. I can't really comment on the little shovel because I don't really use it

Love the color choices. Bought these to go with metal detectors for our grandkids !!

I bought it for sifting through sand to find sand crabs. It really didn’t work well for that unless you were knee deep in the ocean. I didn’t want to go in the water. I just wanted to be able to sift through the sand. Anyways, the short handle makes it so you have to get into the water up to a certain point to sift through the sand. It kinda defeated the whole purpose of why I bought it. The holes were also too big and all the sand crabs were getting washed out. If you don’t mind going into the ocean, then it’ll probably work fine.

Feels strong and well made. It's made out of plastic, butt stronger than a lawn chair. Wide enough to get my hand in and grab the stuff. Easy to clean. Comes with a little shovel and a mesh bag. Definitely recommended and for the price.

This is a perfect kit. Comes with everything needed to get out on the beach and metal detect. It's nice because it's made of a very durable plastic. You can run your pin pointer inside of it, and locate easily.
