Nice addition to jumpstart the day; blends smoothly and doesn't add an overpowering vanilla flavor that can drown out dark chocolate almond milk and NO SOY! Are there more expensive products out there? Yes, but this protein powder meets my budget and my concern about the source of ingredients, because after all if you're putting healthy ingredients in your morning smoothie, (banana, mango, chia seeds, coconut milk) you don't want any unhealthy additives, right? This product is priced at $12 in my local grocery store, so Amazon delivers the savings!! One warning for those who like really super sweet protein powder, this is not the one for you! This whey powder contains no added sugar and uses a natural sweetener, monk fruit, and french vanilla extract.I sometimes add a teaspoon of wild- flower honey for added nutrition and sweetness. The whey is free from antibiotics, cow growth hormones and is Lactose-Free! More good stuff includes 20G Protein, 110 calories, vegetable based digestive enzymes, calcium and key B vitamins to increase energy and boost metabolism. Low in sugar, 2G, Carbs, 6G, so this can work with a low carb diet! What is not to like!The scoop size seems huge to me, (see the picture), so sometimes I don't add the full to the brim amount. I have only tried this in fruit with yogurt, almond, coconut and Fair Life (lactose-free) milk, so I can't give you an opinion about mixing it with water. I plan to try it in a V-8 with spinach, pineapple strawberry smoothie next because the vanilla flavor will mix well. I am NOT paid for my review, just a woman who wants extra energy and no hunger pangs throughout the day and this works for me. Here is my fav skin serum smoothie:coconut milk( prevents dry skin) tbsp coconut oil (hydrate skin) tbsp honey (quercetin fights inflammation), Designer Whey, tsp Tumeric (antioxidant) chia seeds( omega 3's to prevent wrinkles), 1/2 banana ( manganese and B6) frozen mangos (clears the skin) and frozen pineapples ( increases collagen). I Oh, and also love blending dark chocolate almond milk, whey and frozen dark sweet cherries with frozen blueberries.

I love this product . I replace a meal every day with a shake. I feel energized and great when taking my shakes. The vanilla flavor is amazing I add a bit of cinnamon to my shake. Since I started taking the shakes I have lost 24 pounds. I have been taking the shakes for 3 months .

Super solid ingredient list and somewhat of a steal at this price. The compromise seems to be flavor & mix-ability (mixes great in a blender but other methods will clump). Overall, this is a great lightly flavored whey protein base that you can easily flavor to your liking. Strawberry has always been my go to protein shake flavor and this summer strawberry flavor sort of lacks that typical strawberry nesquik essence you generally get with strawberry whey shakes, which I can deal with given the high quality ingredients & price. The flavor in those shakes/powders almost always comes from artificial flavorings, which this product doesn't have, so it's understandable. The strawberry flavor as is, is very subtle. so I just use 2 scoops instead of 1 in some almond milk, 1/2 container of oikos strawberry greek yogurt and a squirt or 2 of liquid stevia to wake the flavor up. No gmos, no hormones. Will buy again. The minor issues are offset by this products many strengths!

I drink this every day. Delicious! No metallic, yucky, synthetic taste.

I used to take this Designer Whey a long time ago and it seemed to help me lose weight while I built lean muscle. I switched to Shakeology for a while, and though it seemed every bit as good as claimed to be, the price was ridiculous. So I decided to go back to a much more affordable whey protein since I had experience with it before. I used to blend it up with fresh fruit, honey and either juice or milk. Flash forward to present day, and I prefer a protein I can shake up with almond milk and PB2 when I don't feel like washing the blender, and this doesn't disappoint. It does, however, taste like flavored cardboard and has an unpleasant aftertaste to me, so I will likely have to go back to using a blender with fruit and real peanut butter to make this more palatable.

I've tried this with my regular smoothie recipes, with coconut, almond and regular milk. I find that if I'm making a smoothie with it, I like it best with the coconut almond milk blend. Its tends to have a chalky taste with regular milk in the smoothie. If I don't mix it with a smoothie and just follow the directions and mix it with milk and drink it that way, it tastes wonderful. I use 2% milk. Not sure if that makes a difference. Compared to other protein shakes I've tried, I like this one the best. I'm glad I took a chance on it and will be ordering it consistently here as long as the price stays low.

Great value and good protein for the body, I mix w fruits and juices

I personally did not like the taste of this. However, if you are looking for a protein powder that isn’t super sweet, this could be for you. The company has great customer service and reached out to me when I didn’t love the product. Could be the right one for you if you want plain with just a hint of vanilla.
