Onyx EZR Satellite Radio with Home Kit (SXEZR1H1) | SiriusXM

I got this SiriusXM Onyx EZR radio so I could listen to my favorite music channels over my Bose Wave radio. Set up instructions were easy to follow. Selecting the right location for the antenna is the most important step. It wants you to put it in a South facing window with no blinds. As you can see from my pictures, that’s not necessary. Mine is pointing South and receiving a 95-100 % signal, (3) bars, through the wall. Once everything was connected I turned both the radio and Bose Wave on and verified I was receiving the SiriusXM radio advertisement channel. After that is when I contacted a rep via chat on their website and selected a plan. Since I already have an account associated with my car, it was very easy to get listening. This is a great radio receiver and I am amazed at how easy everything was. SiriusXM requires a paid subscription for those that might not be aware.

The product works very well - once the antenna was situated in a good location, the signal came in clear and well. The only problem encountered had to do with SiriusXM eliminating the old radio from my account and putting this radio on, but even that was easily taken care of. In all, a very good product for listening to SiriusXM.

Great value for the price. I have this in my car and would like to get an extension from my vehicle. That is not possible; another subscription is required. The unit is integrated into my home system and functions well. My interest in the system came from listening in the car, waiting for the song or whatever I may have been listening to finish. There are several units to choose from. All had more functions and features, such as a full-color station listing, none of which interested me. I made a list of my favorites and programmed them into the unit. I have a call-up list on my smart device should I wish to add another program. The unit allows for programming 10 stations - Happy home listening

Works fine. bought as a replacement for one that crapped out after 20 years. (Love those old life-time XM subscriptions!).

It was not clear to me that a short time after I started using it that it would stop working. All of the channels except one stopped working. Channel 1 displays a phone number to sign up for a subscription. There was no warning, no information, it just stopped in the middle of a Joel Osteen program. It feels like they are holding me hostage for more money. From what I found out, the subscription makes most people unhappy. My phone is much too expensive to be a radio especially with the number of trackers raking in more money when using the app.

I can't complain about the Radio but I will complain that Amazon, SiriusXM and reviews I read glossed over the antenna. Unless I was willing to have a long antenna wire strung around the room or started poking holes in the wall and ceiling, I could not get an adequate signal. I did fail to read the User Guide available on line. But never would have expected the need make holes in my house or use the entire antenna length or more to maybe get an adequate signal. Next time I'll spend more $ for something Wi-Fi compatible for my home. 3 stars because I can't fault the unit but I have issues with understated antenna dependency. Be careful. Otherwise, I really like SiriusXM in my car and phone.

Unit works as expected, very satisfactory.

This device is wonderful. We struggled a wee bit with customer service but figured it all out.
