When hiking, you do not want your clothes to be confining, so I would recommend buying a size up. I did and I was happy I did so - there is an elastic waist and a good drawstring, so you will not feel your pants are falling down. The bottoms can cinch closed or be left open to look like regular pants. I like that the cinch part is inside the bottom hem so is not visible. With lots of pockets for phone, keys, money, etc, these pants are definitely great for hiking. I spilled some water on them and it beaded right up - water resistance is great in a hiking pant as well.

Love these yoga pants! The material is so soft and seem quite durable. Fits as expected. Planning on getting some of the capri length too!

These are great for Pilates class, yoga and dance classes but dress them up with a nice top and wear them all day. I especially like how comfortable they are when traveling.

I have these in XXL and they’re great and I wanted a pair that fit more like leggings than yoga pants so I went to an XL and they fit great too! Both pairs are nice and opaque so there’s definitely wiggle room if you’re worried about ordering the wrong size. The pockets fit my iPhone 11 ProMax (6.5”) and the cute front pocket is a bonus.
