Look, I'm always skeptical when purchasing items and whatnot especially reading low rated reviews, which is very discouraging. But the low rated reviews below are just people who don't know how to handle their products well. So far I had this earpiece for a week and it works like a charm.FYI: For the people who say the sound isn't too loud are probably the people who blasts their music at the highest volume, damaging their eardrums permanently. Please don't listen to loud music for extensive periods of time!Q: Can I use this for music?A: Yes but don't get so hyped up. First of all, it's possible to listen to music and other programs but its intent is too listen through voice or other vocal audio sources. Listening to music at a loud volume extensively may degrade the earpiece over timeQ: How good is the audio quality?A: The price should give some of it away but again, it's a security/surveillance ear piece, it's suppose to be quiet and inconspicuous. Have you ever heard how a stethoscope sounds like in your ears? It's basically the same in this case; you can hear the sound when you rub your fingers against the wires and the audio sounds like it has extra bass but the earpiece knocks out any outside noise so that you can hear from the earpiece.Q: WYSIWYG?A: Yes, the product you see here in this picture is what you get. Of course my shipment was in a nice packaging envelope. Inside of that envelope was a plastic zip-lock bag containing the earpiece and a plastic cardboard that advertises the brand and specs of the earpiece.Q: Hassle?A: Yes, unfortunately, for this particular earpiece, you need to take the time to properly set up the wiring inconspicuously. If installed properly, the only thing that should be visible is the clear tubing that connects to your ear. Another thing that I was disappointed is that the earpiece is design only to be in your left ear but you can use the right ear too. However, you will not be able to loop the tubing around the ear. The black coiled-up wires that connects to the device can also be a hassle. I would've liked it if they didn't coiled-up the black wire. Please, don't let this discourage you, it's still comfortable!Q: So what is that big bulge in the middle and the clear plastic tubing?A: This receiver comes with a plastic clear tubing, which has no wires or anything inside, that can be moved, manipulated depending on the head movement. It feels comfortable if you installed your earpiece correctly. I'm no audio expert so I may be wrong but the big bulge in the middle is where the clear tubing converts into the black wire. It also includes a clipping so you can clip it to your clothes.Conclusion: Despite some hassle, low-bass sound, coiled wiring, I think this earpiece does the job, especially for the unbeatable price! I would recommend anyone to purchase this product! (Btw, this earpiece is kinda stylish, looking like a sexy security guard or secret agent man XD)

Works well and feels good in use

Very loud. Installed it in my hearing protectors it is loud enough i feel the air move

-Cost effective-Sounds Good-Not obtrusive-Longevity is terribleI will go through one of these in about 3 months of 12 hour shifts before I have to get a new one. The amplifier will begin to fail where you have to dramatically increase your radio volume to be able to hear. Usually, using an air duster will remedy the issue, but only for about a week until the moisture buildup in the acoustic tube simply destroys the amplifier.If these weren't so cheap, I'd have found another solution by now. It's cheap and it works, for a limited time.

sound quality was sub par. not very comfortable

I’ve had to purchase several of these due to them always breaking. Ive had several stop working due to a hole in the line only 1 month after using and 2 more not work at all due to the same reason.
