Both the physical documents and the online ones are incredibly well thought out and are of a really good standard.It really added to the realism and the desire to solve the case!Without giving too much away, the way it is laid out is really clever as well.It felt less like a story, and more like a real case file!I'll admit it took us nearly four hours to crack the case 🙈 but we did solve it in the end which felt incredibly rewarding!Even my husband, who is much less of a true crime enthusiast than me, thoroughly enjoyed it. We played it at a dinner party of 4 adults. The game was very well put together and included both online and game pack clues to use. Unlike other MM’s where you take on different characters, you and the other players are all the same character - the detective. There’s no dress-up involved or invitations included.Cons for us were that the game pack is paper based so there are a few hours of reading involved. Not ideal for a dinner party with food and candles where you’re handling a large amount of paperwork over plates, with sticky fingers. You will also inevitably need something to write with as you sift through the clues. I forewarned my guests to bring their reading glasses and phones. My OH is partially sighted and couldn’t participate in reading the evidence which is largely small font typeface and handwritten. One of our guests was dyslexic and struggled with the handwritten evidence. With a party of more than two someone will be reading the paperwork out loud. So I did this between courses while my guests were eating.All this said we thoroughly enjoyed the game! I allowed 3 hours based on other reviews but it took us 4.5 and we didn’t dawdle!
