These are really nice, high quality butterfly clasps. They’re well-made and very durable. The size is spot on, and perfect for smaller projects. They’re easy to install. Overall, I definitely recommend.

I installed this to secure the exterior cover of my RV refrigerator. It's a seemingly decent build. Time will tell. Great value

that turned out to be perfect. I purchased these latches for a DIY Folding solar panel project I was working on. I had 2 - 100 watt regular aluminum frame panels I wanted to make into a heavy duty long lasing 200 watt folding solar array. I had the 2 panels, and found a nice piano hinge on Amazon (anther review) but I needed a latch, and a butterfly latch turned to be perfect for this job. Though smaller than expected that turned out well due to mounting bolt placement. These latches are well made and nicely finished. I have no doubt they will prove to be up for the job. The folding array weighs approx 35-40 lbs, and these latches keep everything secure for transit/storage, and they were easy tio install. I am happy with the results.

I used these to secure my table leaves (5 of them), but a word of warning; if you use them in line with the dowels, make sure you place the twist latch, which has a smaller spacing on the attachment screws on the dowel side as the screws may bite into the dowels.

Good quality overall....only gripe is that these do not appear to have any spring feature for maintaining pressure when closed, like others I have purchased in the past.......so mounting them has to be more exacting on location. Spring retention, in my book, is one of the requirements for this type of latch.
