Used this leader for shark. Caught a few rays and a couple sharks on it so far. It’s stranded and coated. The included sleeves are lightweight, but they’ll do if rigged correctly. It’s nice to have them included..makes it easy. The wire performed relatively well. It’s flexible but kinks pretty easily. Good purchase price. Recommend

I had a problem with squirrels eating through the line to my bird feeders, so I thought this might do the job. I have the feeders hung up in a tree and have small pullies to keep the lines out of the way. I used the 120lb line, and it works great, until the crimps fail. I have three feeders set up this way, and now I am out of crimps. The wire comes with 12 crimp sleeves and I only needed 6 to build the lines, but in 2 months, 6 of the crimps have failed; they split/cracked up one side. I had purchased a "Booms Fishing Heavy-Duty Hand Crimper" when I bought the wire to make sure I did this properly, but now I will need to figure out the proper size to get, and buy some quality crimp sleeves. Still, I bought this for the wire and the vinyl coating, and that part is really great. When a crimp fails for me, the feeder is on the ground. If I was using this for fishing, I would be down 6 rigs.

I got the smallest 10 Lb version, and the wire is very thin and wrapped in plastic, exactly as described.My purpose was to secure my pool floating chlorine dispenser & temperature probe to the side of the pool, so they dont end up in the skimmer all the time. I had used the standard fishing line before, but the Sun's UV's destroyed it very quickly. Now with this, even if the plastic is gone, the steel will not be affected by the sun. The crimps were great too, I was able to wrap the wire inside them about 4 times before crimping with pliers, so I know they will not get loose. Overall this product is easy to use, very flexible and perfect for my needs.

I am giving a 5 star review because the quality of the wire is so high even though the crimps do not work.Pros:1. Great quality wire, I have had many snags using 80lb braided line and the line always breaks.2. You can almost tie this, I recommend using a "figure 8 knot" and tightening it with pliers. Do an internet video search for "figure 8 knot multistrand fishing leader" and you should find how to do this. Since this line is a bit springy there is NO WAY you can use a haywire twist with it. You need pliers to tighten the figure 8 knot though.3. nice priceCons:1. Crimps are not the right size, I bought a special crimping tool and could break the crimp easily with my hands each time. Maybe they work fine with the lighter versions. I am fishing for large fish using 80lb test and I need full strength. As I mentioned above you can use a figure 8 knot and tighten with pliers.

I use this wire to replace the fabric wind chime cords and never have another broken suspension line for decades! Beats searching the flower beds for wind chime components after a storm! This is a real solution to broken cords, but does require the use of the crimps designed for this wire to keep it secure.
