Works great with tilt head kitchenaid. It is not dishwasher safe because once you put it in the dishwasher, it tarnishes and then gets black stuff everywhere.

I have been buying kitchen aid mixers for decades with the original being made by Hobart That original stainless wire whip lasted 25 years before snapping .Now that Whirlpool owns the company for many years they started making inferior wire whip replacements and then Amazon sellers worse selling inferior imitations of those.None of these are 100% stainless.Likely all of these inferior replacements will have metal corroding metal flaking months into ownership right into your food even if hand washed. Worse they cannot be used in a dishwasher of the metal starts peeling off right away Apparently Kitchen Aid/ Whirlpool has finally upped their game after so many complaints by reintroducing the high quality stainless version !Thankfully tossed the one I got from these folks into the garbage can. The part number for the 100% well made stainless is KSM5THWWSS.Yes its double the price but will likely last long after I'm gone and serve the next owner just as well Bought mine directly from kitchen aid as not to risk anymore horrible quality replacements and I am back in love with my mixer again and tossing it in the dishwasher after every use.It looks and works perfect All the others should be removed from the market place as they are crap and may be dangerous when handling food.Not worth the lower cost.Avoid at al costs
