Champion Sports Outdoor Badminton Set

This set packs easily but is also very sturdy for ongoing backyard use. The support stakes work well in dirt; but for sand/beach use you may want four larger area "screw in to the ground" type stakes to support the poles. The badminton gear was a nice plus & has become our preferred use of the set. The rackets were surprisingly nice and 4 feather shuttlecocks seemed pretty upscale for someone used to the old plastic 'birdies'. They don't hold up as well, but we have ordered additional ones (Kevens brand) and are lasting longer as we get better at gameplay. The only (minor) issue is the 30x60 border. It's bright red with stitching on the long sides at the middle so you know where to place your poles. If left outside over time, it fades very quickly. Not a dealbreaker, just a bit of a letdown after everything else has held up well. The straps are still completely functional, just sun-bleached.

Mallets are tall. If you are under 5’3 they could be cumbersome. My son does not care but my wife prefers the shorter mallets. Wickets are narrow but very sturdy. We were used to old flimsy set with wide wickets. These are just a bit larger than the ball however, they most likely are regulation. Great set for price and mallets and all fit in the provided carrying bag without removing the mallet heads.

I have a group of 20 people that plays outdoor grass volleyball about 2-3 times daily. We currently use a Park and Sun system that has been proven to be durable however one net for that many people gets crowded and prolongs play. From just observing and comparing this net to that of the Park and Sun (twice more expensive) I can say it is a cheaper alternative to the P&S setup and definitely an upgrade to the cheap plastic volleyball nets you see in the stores. Poles and Net: The 1.5 inch thick aluminum poles 8ft poles come in 3 pieces with spring loaded buttons. When attached these poles do wobble as there is a bit of play in them but they seem like they will hold up. The poles are non-adjustable so the only way the is net adjustable is by positioning (sliding) the net to the desired height which may cause some issues getting the same height on both ends of the net. Otherwise for the price paid, the poles and net seem to be the quality expected. Guide Lines: The guide lines are your typical braided woven lines with looped 8 inch stakes. These are adjustable however the adjuster does seem a bit cheap and weak but luckily these can be replaced by better units. The S clip attaching these guidelines to the top of the pole is a bit on the lighter side so I will be upgrading this to a spring loaded clip. Otherwise your typical woven guidelines. Other Parts (Boundary line, ball pump, volleyball): The boundary line seems to be durable, its about 1 inch thick. You will need to buy an extension cord holder to keep this rolled up as one was not provided (not a big deal as its $1 from the hardware stores). Ball pump is included however I did not see a needle (again its about $1 for 2 needles) but not a big deal. The volleyball is vinyl and will be good for kids. I am not personally going to use this ball as my group can get competitive so I recommend a better ball (Molten Pro Touch for the serious crowd). The carrying bag is nice as it will fit all the poles (separated) and net together. Lastly, the instruction manual included is nice as it details how to set up, basic rules of volleyball (scoring, violations, rotation and so on...). If you're looking for a competitive net for outdoor tournaments then I'd suggest a Park and Sun's unit. But overall for the price this is a good casual play for all ages. This system closely resembles the GSE Games volleyball net and I suspect both are very much the same. Feel free to ask questions. *Seeing as it is still winter I have not set this net up yet but from my observations and comparison to the Park and Sun system it looks like it will work.*

These heavy duty, solid balls are the real thing. Great set.

The poles and net are sturdy and not difficult to set up. The wrapping around the racket handles unraveled immediately after I removed the clear plastic wrapper. I don’t think the clear plastic is meant to stay on. I just think they were cheaply made. I like the carrying bag.

Made for impact, to last a lifetime, these bocce balls are made of the same resin used to make pool / billiard balls. They are beautifully finished, and full of substance. Easy to throw and retrieve, they track like a high quality bowling ball, and indeed that is what they are intended to do. This is an ideal set if you are tired of others that crack and break after just a few seasons. If you are getting more serious about the game, or want to buy a set for a gift, this is the set for you. These could last a lifetime, and are well worth the premium price.

the ball every 20 minutes after being pumped gets un inflated

it is not clear in the description , but a hole must be dug and concrete poured to make a base . And then you also have a short pipe sticking out of the ground , permanently . Be careful with your mower. Overall , it is quality equipment , and once I figure out where I can safely place it , i will set it up .

This is a nice bocce set. Comes in a handy case, good weight. Can play with 2 or 4 people because each colour of balls has different marking on them (for 4 people).

Bought it before covid and still use it every summer, easy to set up anywhere, great height and the poles are super resistant
