No difficulties and the wire cutters were impressive. Product did not unravel during installation.

We rebuilt a rotted porch with a much larger new porch and deck. I decided I wanted cable rails to maintain the view of our yard. After a lot of research and videos, I decided to go with DN Steel for the swage lags and cable. (I went with CTE for the inner wire protector sleeves.) The cable wires comes well packaged and looks like great quality. We discovered that the individual wire ends did not like going through predrilled posts and would start to unravel, making them impossible to get into the swage lags. So, once I cut the wire (with the included wire cutters, I immediately wrapped the ends with a small piece of scotch tape. Worked like a charm. Also, a word to the wise. The wire does stretch a little. Be sure to cut it so that it can reach the swage lags, but leave NO extra in the wire. We predrilled the 4x4 posts and then put the lags in until about 4 threads were showing. Then we crimped the wire (lags in posts) and then hand tightened the rest. In the future, I would leave more threads showing to allow for more tightening. And, I’d really be sure the cable was not too long. And! No matter what people may tell you, installing this cable railing system (no matter the system) is a TWO person job. When my son tried to do it alone, he couldn’t both crimp and get the wires the right length. We ended up having to buy extra lags and redo them.

I was very concerned with possible rusting of the cable after reviewing comments on many of the lower price point cabling options of Amazon. I installed this about 3 months ago using Steel DN Mate connectors and grommets in green treated pine and have no rust. Also the provided cutters are still cutting sharp and clean after over 100 cuts. Highly recommend this cabling and cutter.
