Time Resistance Leather Balsam for Shoes, Bags and Furniture Care and Protection 8.45 Oz (250ml)

I really wanted to find Dr Martens wonder balsam, but ended up finding this instead. I really needed to speed up the process of breaking in my boots and this did the job perfectly. A light layer of the product, thick socks, and a hairdryer on low did the trick. Plus, it helped with some waterproofing. These boots survived in a torrential downpour, the rain water just sat on the boots instead of soaking in at all. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone trying to speed up that awful break in process of leather shoes or anyone trying to simply protect the material!

Update: I used it today on some leather producers and it didn’t change the original color of the leather if you apply it with very little amount ( only black color will be darker ). I just started this product this week. It makes the leather shiny and dark it color. My gray boot ended up to be light black color! Also, it’s very thick to be applied and spreader on the leather and you need to make sure applying small amount and spread it carefully.

I have been using another brand of “balsam” for years, but it has been increasingly difficult to find. Tried this as an alternative, and am glad that I did. I have used it so far on boots, shoes, a couple of purses and my leather messenger bag. It smells great, not chemically, and my items are clean, moisturized, smooth and supple. There is no greasy residue and items are ready for use immediately after treating. As other reviewers, I don’t thing the applicator will last long, but it isn’t a big deal…I can find a cosmetic sponge or something to replace it.

I wanted to purchase the Dr Martins brand for my new boots but their brand wasn't available. This stuff goes on a bit greasy but leave it on overnight then give a quick buff. It softens up the leather and gives a waterproof finish. Helps to break in the new stiff leather on my Doc Martins.
