The black cardboard looks textured, is this so? Would it be able to take writing from metallic markers smoothly?

It's textured with adhesive. I thought you could write on it, so I purchased metallic markers as well. I actually bought label stickers and wrote notes on those, and stuck it to the adhesive. So to answer your question, no, I would not recommend using markers on the black cardboard.

Is there re-fills for the pages or do you need to buy another album if you run out of pages?
