Bought two and they worked a treat in accommodation in Asia where neither a repellant device nor nets were provided. Obviously, just need to have a USB A port that allows these to sit horizontally with anti-mozzie tablet in (buy the tabs on Amazon or, as I prefer, in country where you know they're bought and used by locals). Oh, and 2 devices, 2 rooms, 3 people in 8 different accommodations for 3 weeks and not a single overnight bite. Perfect.

Usually get bitten like crazy when abroad but this plug-in unit seems to work. Small inserts fit under secure clip lid meaning the unit can be used flat or on its side (useful with some hotel plug sockets). Recommended.

This is an electric mosquito deterrent (it doesn't really kill them, unfortunately), powered by a USB adaptor. We already have one that you plug in to an EU wall socket, but I got this new one because it plugs in to a USB socket, and we can run it off a portable power bank. I have been to a lot of hotel rooms on holiday that have very few wall sockets, and you have to decide whether to charge your phone or plug in the mozzie deterrent. Now we we can run the mozzie deterrent from a power bank and sleep without fear of bites. It might also come in useful if we're travelling at night and there are no wall sockets. Note that this device requires mosquito deterrent tablets in order to work. You insert a tablet (the grill section lifts up, which is a nice touch), then plug in the device, which heats up the tablet and releases the deterrent. Bingo! No more mosquitoes in your room! Do shop around on Amazon for tablets, as you can get them quite cheaply and any brand will do.

I also got the recommended Blue refill tabs, and it truly works. On a fruit fly type gnat, I held the device attached to a power pack under the bug on the ceiling, in 91 seconds it dropped to the floor - amazing. We live near a canal so suffer from mosquitoes and other bugs when we leave the large sliding doors open at night. We now have 2-3 of these on the floor next to the opened door and so far, no bug have come near them… BRILLIANT an invisible force field without having to get a window/door mesh! We do also have the plug-in mains devices with the bottled liquid, but we’re restricted on where we can place them and the bugs would already be crawling around the ceiling lights. The USB powered device, along with a power brick gives you the freedom of mobility. Only one issue is not knowing if the tab has been depleted, I’ve seen some reviews that say to replace everyday, but £5 for a pack of 20, it’s a small price for piece of mind.

It’s good product I just don’t like the light , it disturbs my sleep

I bought this as it is very compact, works off USB and takes solid pads (rather than a bottle of liquid). Those features mean that it is perfect for our campervan — we don't need to be hooked up to the mains and don't need to worry about liquids. I was a bit sceptical whether it would be effective but it works really well. We are on a trip at the moment and I plug it in overnight. Whenever we have been somewhere with midges, I find dead midges on the ceiling just above where I plug in the unit (I do keep the windows shut when the midges are really bad). Very impressed.

Utilissimo per uso in camper quando si è in libera e non si ha a disposizione la 220. Scalda bene la piastrina ed è davvero molto efficace! Ottimo!

Génial, fonctionne parfaitement. L'utilisation via usb c'est vraiment top car utilisable du coup même en camping par exemple. A domicile il suffit de le mettre sur un chargeur de téléphone. A noter que sur batterie ça vide une 10.000 mAh en une nuit.

I thought it was good the first night but the second night I had it beside my bed and a big mosquito landed several times on my water bottle 5 inches away.
