After buying and returning several towels on Amazon, I finally found the one I was looking for! This towel is very soft and absorbent. While it may be a bit on the heavier side for some, I am very happy with it---so much so, that I have bought the hand towels as well!

I ordered several sets of towels from different companies. Brookline was by far and away the thickest and heaviest of them. If money had been no object, I would have kept them, but the difference in cost was significant enought to keep me from rationalizing the extra expense. It may not have been the best choice, though because I”m sure the towels would have outlasted the ones I kept, which have been OK.
