LE CREUSET 94036570000001 SIG Copper Lid Knob 5.7 cm Cast Iron

I cannot believe for the price Le Creuset charges that I would even need to buy this. That said, this was perfect. Replaced the brittle, broken PLASTIC knob on top of my lid (does not go into the oven at high temperatures, that is for sure). Looks fantastic.

I purchased these so that I can place my le creuset pot in the oven at 480 degrees. I was very surprised that they were hollow. I guess just didn’t realize it when I purchased. They are light and make the whole pot look so much more legit! The only down side of using these copper knobs now is that cooking over stovetop they get very hot and you’ll need pot holder to lift the lid. With plastic ones you didn’t need pot holder. Guess can’t have it both ways. I recommend these if you need your pot into >425 oven

Nice colored metal knob, but the dome feature on mine is slightly off center. The knob is made in China, and there's no indications if lead is used. Also this is a hollow knob. Because of the workmanship issue, I gave it 4 stars. I haven't yet used it at high temperatures, but when I do I'll update this post. Le Creuset should include metal knobs on all cookware considering what they charge. (however this did not influence my review, again 4 stars because the metal forming on the dome is off center)

I bought this for an eggplant-colored Le Creuset Braiser and all I can say is WOW. The braiser came with a black knob. This copper knob takes it to the next level. I am now leaving the put on the stove just so I can look at it. They say the determining factor as to whether something is worth what you paid for it, is how happy it makes you every time you look at it. I'm extremely happy. Enough said. :)

I used this knob as a replacement for my 5 qt threshold target dutch oven. I baked bread and some other high-heat items and there were no issues with the knob's integrity. The color and logo look great and it attached very easily. I got the size LARGE for a 5qt.
