In my case, I couldn't get my major computer manufacturer to recognize that my laptop, which had been BSODing since I got it, was in fact suffering from a hardware issue. I had performed all software remedies and thus ruled out all OS/software potential issues and was convinced that hardware was the culprit. Especially since the BSOD error seemed to indicate hardware all along. I was annoyed because I had purchased the extended three year hardware warranty and felt that they weren't honoring it. After receiving the laptop back (they had replaced the main board obvs) it's been working perfectly indicating there was an issue with the previous main board (pre-zapping of course) and that all the other components were fine. What's interesting about that, is it seems the USB Killer only affects the main board (at least in my case).
