Why We're Catholic: Our Reasons for Faith, Hope, and Love Review: Excellent read for Catholics and open minded non-Catholics - Excellent book. I would recommend to those just beginning their journey with exploring Catholicism and Catholics alike. The writing style is personable and easy to digest. Very pleased. I plan to read it again and then loan it to friends and family. I appreciate that, while the author makes comparisons to Protestant faith and other non-Christian religions, it is not done in an attacking or defensive manner; rather simple and informative. Review: Great book - Great book that I have gifted to many people - everyone should read this and reread it. Easy to read and will lead to stronger faith

Fabulous evangelization tool!
This book is such a critical tool for me. I'm in sales, and I meet with people all the time who I have given this book to. Three categories of people are ripe...first, current Catholics, either to correct or confirm their faith. Second...fallen away Catholics who need to understand what they've left. Lastly...non-Catholics who are open to reading. I just wait to see if there is an interest in discussing faith, and then probe a bit about Catholicism. I then ask, "Do you enjoy reading?" If they say yes, I simply ask if they would read a book about the Catholic faith, and if they say yes, they're a new owner, and the rest is up to the Holy Spirit. It's structured so that it can even be given to an atheist, but written such that it will be helpful to anyone. Trent Horn begins with why do we believe in science, then to why do we believe in God, on to why do we believe in Jesus, and finally to why we believe in the Catholic church. He then explores specific facets of the Catholic faith and her teaching. I love Horn's approach; my faith has to make sense to me. Obviously some things have to be taken on faith, but even here, Catholics aren't "faith alone" believers. Our faith in a creator, in Jesus and in the Catholic church is reasonable, and Horn does a great job covering these things succinctly. There are more in depth books on any of these topics, but this is a fabulous introduction to the Christian faith in general and Catholicism in particular, and as such is a very useful tool for evangelism, as I mentioned above. The table of contents is also helpful to just pick and choose a topic on specific Catholic teachings. There is a great deal on a bulk offer (but only buying directly from Catholic Answers on their website)...even with shipping it winds up only being about $3.75 a book for 20 copies. Thanks Trent Horn and Catholic Answers for such an awesome gift to the Church!

Easy to Digest
This is a helpful overview of the Catholic faith, whether you’re new to the church or coming back home after leaving. I enjoyed hearing several analogies helping to explain why Catholics believe certain things. It was a fast read and felt easy to digest.

Definitely recommend
I have enjoyed this book so much! I am/was a cradle catholic. I was baptized at 1 year old, but unfortunately my sacraments stopped there :( My parents weren’t practicing Catholics, and now as a 36 year old woman with my own children I am learning everything I can about our Catholic Faith. This book is helping me learn so much for when I start my RCIA/OCIA classes. There is so much I and still is so much never knew about Catholicism. I am so excited to keep diving into my Faith & receive all of my sacraments. I definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn about Our Catholic Faith!

great read
Great read for anyone interested in becoming Catholic or current Catholics who were never taught the details of our beliefs. Also great for anyone who has been taught lies about Catholicism to set the record straight

I'm a cradle Catholic who never really knew much about the religion until her 50's when she decided she needed to understand it better in order to help prepare others for the second coming. This book is truly beautiful. It makes sense of all of those weird and wonderful things that the Catholic church is full of.
