Great quality and nice cedar wood! Thick wax coating and all of the pieces are perfectly fitted.

I purchased this accidentally thinking I was purchasing the brand I had bought for my first 2 hives. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the superior quality of this product, with every piece of the hive pre-waxed & sealed, as well as good-quality frame foundation already waxed also! The hives go together easily via pre-drilled holes, making for great fitment. I only had to pre-drill holes for the nails in the frames. What a time-saver not to have to paint/seal this hive, as it’s already very well-done! This will be my first hive with 8 frames as opposed to 10, so as long as it goes as well as the assembly did, I will definitely purchase again from here.

This is my 5th beehive I have bought and they have all been great. Easy to build, quality wood, love that I comes with a queen excluder, and prewaxed everything. Sometimes the softer frame wood is cracked and splits but that is to be expected and an easy fix. I would add pictures but Amazon is saying they can't add my photos in a certain format, but I've added other photos from my gallery on different reviews. Anyways, my honeybees love the boxes and produce tons of honey and wax for me. I often take extra wax and spread it on the outside of the box wherever the wax is getting thin.

Excellent quality for the price! I was able to assemble the brood box and super in the matter of minutes. Takes a little longer for the frames but that’s just due to how many come with it. Did not have any problems fitting it. I did have one frame piece crack while nailing it in but that is expected with new, soft small pieces of wood. Will be buying for my next hives when a split is needed.

This was a much higher quality hive than I expected. I caught too many swarms and needed additional equipment pronto so I had one of these shipped. I thought it was quality. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 was that I double waxed the foundation but it probably should have had a 4.75. It was as good as I've ever purchased, and maybe a little more solid. And I have bought super quality, and cheap and this one was one of the best.

Was easy to put together. My first round of bees are in it now. I ordered an additional deep because of the price and fun I had putting them together. Everything seems to be going well. Bees are producing. I will most likely have to paint it when the bees wax wears off the outside.

I recently bought Hoover hives from Amazon and I do like the Cedar construction of them however the dovetails did not fit together as well as the Honey Lake hives and I had to Notch every one of the dovetails to get them to fit. On top of this I love honey Lakes customer service they sent me one Hive that had been damaged in shipping and offered to send me a replacement Hive immediately. I may send an update about this but at this time I highly recommend Honey Lake, they make great hives and for the price and quality you can't beat it.

This hive is awesome. For the price I don't think you could get better. The waxed wood is great the bees love it. A heads up, the ants love the wax too. Make sure if you have ants around to keep it away from them. I caught a swarm and now the bees are building away. If you need a home for your bees this is a great choice. One thing is that the description said it was an assembled hive. It's not but it is very easy to put together.
