Wow, this actually works! I have generalized anxiety disorder and decided to try passionflower after having one too many bad experiences with pharmaceuticals. (I used to take ativan, but my psychiatrist did not properly explain to 19-year-old me that when he said to take the medication "as-needed" that he meant it wasn't suitable for daily, long-term use. Within a couple of months, I was very dependent on the ativan, and it had built up in my system to the point that I couldn't sit down for more than five minutes without falling asleep.) Now I take 15 drops of passionflower on my tongue 1-3 times a day and it takes the anxious edge off without any of the weird side effects. It also started working immediately. Not sure if it's ok to use long-term or not, so I'll just have to be careful!

After more than a month of insomnia (getting at the very best 5 hours of sleep a night, one lovely night only 45 minutes), I did some research and ended up purchasing this passrionflower product. I mix a dropperful with some water and down it about an hour before bedtime. I've now been using it for the last eight nights and I've had deep, refreshing sleep every night (well, except the night my neighbors threw a party!). If I wake up due to noise or take a bathroom break, I go back to sleep easily. And yet I don't have any sensation of grogginess or a hangover the next day. I ordered this item thinking going by the item picture (since the description did not provider the information) that it was 2,000 mg but when it arrived it was only 1,800 mg. In essence this was not want I expected to receive. I usually buy this product locally so 2,000 mg is my usual strength. Amazon doesn't honor returns on this so I don't know if this was a mistake or misinformation in the product listing. Be aware of this if you order. Otherwise, it is a good product for what it does which is calm you for sleep.

I have been a long time anxiety sufferer. I currently take klonopin at night for anxiety but during the day I do not want to take benzos due to sleepiness and I also try to take the least amount I can due to well known long term risks. About 2 droppers of this if I'm feeling extra anxious during the day is enough to calm me without any grogginess or sedation. It is the ONLY thing that has ever worked and I have tried every anti-anxiety natural supplement known to man. DO NOT buy any other tincture or passionflower product, this formula is concentrated and it's the only one that truly works and I recommend it all the time, even mentioned it to my doctor and she has been recommending it as well to her patients. You won't be dissapointed. I know how to well how painful anxiety can be, this will be your arsenal.

For years I took the alcohol version of this and it wasn't pleasant because it left that burning feeling in my mouth (or actually, under my tongue because that's where I usually do tinctures since it will enter the blood stream quicker this way). Once my husband found the alcohol free version here, he bought it for me and I've been using it since. I want to say that Nature's Answer is a reputable brand and I have bought and used several of their tinctures but this one is one that remains in my "arsenal" for my bed time routine. I have a chronic illness that makes it often hard to fall asleep and more importantly stay asleep and this definitely seems to help me. I take anywhere from half a dropper to a full dropper directly under my tongue. The taste is extremely sweet and a tiny bit herby but not of grass or anything pungent. I chase it with a little water and my melatonin (300 mcg) tablet. Overall, I would say that anyone looking for some help staying asleep should try this. Passionflower is a great relaxant and it might just help you out. I personally have found that tincture form such as this is a lot more powerful and fast acting than tablets or powder in a capsule.

So I ordered this because it was recommended to me by one of the therapists I work with. This stuff is amazing. I've been on buspar and Xanax and lately, neither of them has been helping me with my anxiety. I tried this in a tiny bit of water, because on its own it's extremely potent and bitter, and I tell you folks, it works like a Xanax without all the side effects. Give it a try. I take 30 drops when I feel a bit anxious and up to 50 when I know I'm having a bad attack. This is a wonderful product and I thank you folks for selling it!!!

Be very careful! Not only does this look exactly like the passion flower tincture that I usually take because it is from the same brand, but the label on the side also says that it is the nature’s answer, passion, flower, tincture, but this is NOT IT!

I have been using my extract for a couple weeks and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I can feel it relax me a bit. If you use two full squirts it does have a tendency of relaxing you sleep. I don't think you wake up feeling relaxed but if you want something to just calm nerves down, some chamomile tea and a couple of squirts of the extract can be a good sleeping remedy. If stressed, I has away of making you feel calmer. I wish it came in a bigger bottle.
