Review on myfitfuel unflavoured plant pea protein after consuming it for 2 years Effect on body - This has been my first protein brand when I started gym, and I've been using this from past 2 years. For most vegetarian Indians who barely get proteins from their diet, consuming protein powder such as this becomes vital for regular workouts. Consuming 60-70 grams of the powder daily is within safe limits and can slowly build your muscles and strength. To give you some context, I started dumbbell chest press with 2.5kg each hand for 12 reps which has grown to 20kg each hand for same rep set comfortably even though I don't consume calorie excess for bulking. My bicep size has also increased by roughly 4-5 inches Workout performance noticeably drops in a few days if protein consumption is reduced. My 54 year mother has been consuming it with me as it gives her strength to carry out daily activities. Side effects - I was initially concerned if it causes bloating but honestly there's been not a single side effect which is great! No side effects observed even in my mom. Taste and mixability - Taste is obviously bland given its unflavoured nature but you'll quickly get used to it and it never becomes a problem. Mix it with hot water, and stir for 5 mins. There will be some chunks as the powder is very fine but again you'll quickly get used to it. You can try eating some bananas, flax seeds and soy chunks so it becomes a healthy taste meal. Cost - Much affordable compared to traditional whey proteins In short, Unflavoured plant pea protein by myfitfuel has complimented my workout routine to make me stronger and healthier in an affordable way.

I bought this product after my friend suggested it, and I was skeptical after seeing the mixed reviews about it. I had been using another brand of protein powder which was very costly, and this was the alternative that I found. I am neither a professional athlete nor a bodybuilder and hence can't comment on anything. Taste: It is not for everyone. It has a very raw taste with a thick gooey consistency when mixing with any liquid. Some people may even find it horrible. This is where all the reviews regarding its bad taste come in. From experience I had from the previous brand, this is almost similar in taste. If you are not a vegan and are looking for plant-based protein powder, I recommend you to have this with something which covers up the taste. I use spiced buttermilk for this purpose since I am unable to drink it with water. Scoop size: I don't have one scoop of the powder in a go. This powder is very fine and makes the consistency of the shake really thick. Instead, I split it into two servings a day (approx. 17 mg X 2). This is enough for me to feel full for 3-4 hrs. Again I am no health expert, and I do not exceed one scoop per day. The protein intake depends upon your workout regime/training and should consult an expert for the quantity. Packaging: This is where I reduced a star in my review. I had purchased the 1 kg packet, and the fineness of the powder makes it a messy process every time. It comes in a resealable pouch, which is convenient. When you receive the packet, the scoop is buried under the powder, and you have to dig it up literally. I found it easy to use when transferred into a container. Genuine: Some reviews commented on how they found insects etc., in the product. My packet came with a seal, and a unique code verified when you enter it on the website. This was a little reassuring. Another review mentioned a free shaker for a good review, which is not true. They ask you to write a review, but they don't ask for a 5-star rating. I don't know absorption etc., works, so I cannot comment on this. Overall, I would definitely repurchase this product since it fits in my budget for a plant-based protein powder.

The powder doesn’t dissolve properly; even after shaking a lot, it forms bubbles and some powder remains.

I got the unflavored version because the flavored versions have sarbitol. I did not want any sugar replacements. It tastes a lot like besan and had the same low mixibility. It's very heavy does not mix well and leaves a after taste even after using stevia or other flavouring (I tried dark chocolate powder and beetroot powder). There is a lingering aftertaste of peas so I guess it's pure pea protien. Though it was heavy there were no issues with digestion. You can easily use it as meal replacement as it gives you that fullness. Personally I could not stomach the taste mixed with milk or water, so I'm mixing it in curries and soups to enhance protien content in those dishes.

It's great but I am confused about the measurements still , although it has a scoop inside ... I take it with water and add a pinch of salt to make it taste better !
