Excellent clean protein – highly recommend!
I’ve been using this whey protein for just over 3 weeks now, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it. I wanted something pure, clean, and without any unnecessary additives, and this one ticks every single box. It’s completely tasteless, which makes it so easy to mix into my daily smoothies, porridge, or even a glass of oat milk without affecting the flavour. The texture is smooth and blends beautifully — no lumps, no chalky aftertaste, just a really clean mix. What’s really impressed me, though, is the difference I’ve noticed in my muscles and recovery since starting to use it. My workouts feel more effective, and I’ve definitely felt stronger and less sore after training sessions. I also love knowing that it’s organic and ethically produced, which makes me feel good about buying it regularly. The quality really shines through, and you can tell this isn’t a cheap, mass-produced protein powder. This is now a staple in my routine, and I will 100% be buying it again. If you’re looking for a clean, unflavoured protein that blends perfectly and delivers great results, I can’t recommend this enough!

EXCELLENT CLEAN PROTEIN – MIXES WELL & NO NASTY AFTERTASTE
I’ve been using this organic whey protein for a few weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed with both the quality and purity of the product. As someone who prefers to avoid artificial additives and sweeteners, finding a truly clean protein powder like this has been a game-changer. The powder has a fine, smooth texture and mixes surprisingly well—no gritty residue or clumping, even when just shaken with water. I usually blend it with a banana, oats, and almond milk for a quick breakfast shake, and it works wonderfully in overnight oats or protein pancakes too. Because it’s unflavoured, it’s incredibly versatile—I can add it to anything without affecting taste. There’s no chalky aftertaste, and it’s easy on digestion, which I appreciate as I’ve had issues with other whey products before. Definitely value for money and muscle building. Seal is great to keep it fresh till end.

The gold standard for clean, additive-free protein with a sophisticated vanilla taste
Spoiler Alert: This is the gold standard for clean, additive-free protein with a sophisticated vanilla tasteI I have now purchased this 1.2kg pack no less than four times, and it has officially become a non-negotiable staple in my kitchen. Finding a protein powder in 2026 that aligns with a clean-label lifestyle while actually tasting like real food is a rare feat, but The Organic Protein Co. has truly mastered it. The Emotional Connection to Quality There is a profound peace of mind that comes from reading an ingredient list and recognising every single item. Knowing this is undenatured, bioactive, and primarily grass-fed makes my morning ritual feel like an act of genuine self-care. While I have also tried the chocolate flavour - which is excellent - the vanilla remains my absolute favourite. The real Madagascan vanilla pods offer a sophisticated, subtle sweetness that lacks the sickly, artificial aftertaste of most commercial brands. Unlike standard shakes that you can buy on the high street or from the supermarket, this has no chalkiness. It has a natural, milk-like consistency rather than a syrupy one. It also doesn't cause bloating the way some protein supplements can. Optimising Wellbeing on a Low-Calorie Diet As someone following a low-calorie diet, I often struggle to hit protein targets to optimise muscle mass and wellbeing without over-consuming calories. This product is a game-changer; it provides an easy, healthy boost without unnecessary "filler" calories from thickeners or sugars. I’ve found that the 1.2kg bag is the most economic way to incorporate this level of purity into my daily life. Though it comes at a premium price, the quality per serving makes it a worthy investment in my long-term health. My Secret for the Perfect Serve My absolute favourite way to consume this is mixed into my morning coffee. A word of warning: because it is additive-free and emulsifier-free, it is not the easiest to mix with just a spoon. To avoid clumps, you really need a blender. My personal trick is adding it with milk into my Velvetiser; it transforms the powder into a delightful, creamy, and frothy addition to hot chocolate, milk, or coffee. If you crave a sweeter profile, I suggest blending in a touch of honey or agave - it complements the natural vanilla beautifully. Pros & Cons Pros: Pure Ingredients: Entirely free from additives, emulsifiers, and UPFs—just clean, organic nourishment. Superior Flavour: Real Madagascan vanilla provides a sophisticated taste that beats artificial sweeteners every time. Digestibility: Being undenatured and bioactive, it is incredibly gentle on the stomach with zero bloating. Ethical Sourcing: Primarily grass-fed and vegetarian-friendly, supporting better farming practices. Rigorous Lab Testing: They publish independent nutritional and heavy metal test certificates for every batch, which is a level of transparency I rarely see elsewhere. Freshness & Packaging: The HDPE plastic packaging is lightweight and locally recyclable at most supermarket collection points. Most importantly, I am satisfied that the closure reliably maintains freshness over time. Cons: Premium Price: It is an investment, though the 1.2kg bag offers the best value for money. Mixing Effort: Requires a blender or Velvetiser for a smooth finish, as it lacks industrial mixing agents. Subtle Sweetness: Those used to standard "candy-flavoured" shakes may find it too mild (though a dash of honey easily fixes this). Final Verdict After four bags, I can confidently say this is the gold standard. It’s more than just protein; it’s a commitment to quality you can actually taste and feel.

Smells and tastes like beef ! Also.. Poor customer service if you have any issue.
I'm amazed so many people rate this product so highly...just because it doesn't add anything. I added this as I normally do with my protein powders to my typical morning nutriblast of banana, mango, and frozen spinach. This product made the entire shake (which usually is very tasty and enjoyable) taste like cold partially cooked beef. I forced myself to drink it to see if it got any better, but it did't. Indeed, I wished I had thrown it down the drain as it then upset my stomach and repeated on me for the next 3 hours. I'm hoping the issue was down to a bad batch... or old batch... but you have been warned. Yours too may smell like beef and taste like beef as well. In my opinion, not worth buying no matter how clean it is. Switching back to vanilla PhD whey isolate powder. Better to go with a proven provider with strict standards and testing in my honest opinion. Addendum (after reply from company reduced from 2 stars to 1) : I also complained to the company and they would not be willing in any way to offer you a refund... so be warned on that front. Indeed...they expect you to do all this just to get a replacement: "We have a strict process in place to clearly identify when buyers are unhappy with items due to personal preference or if the dissatisfaction is due to a manufacturing defect with the item. Step one • Please reply to this message with pictures of the front and back of the item • The pictures should show the barcode and best before date of the item • Please also include a short summary stating the reasons you are unhappy with your purchase Step two • We will email the manufacturer & distributor the pictures and include your statement • We will ask them to confirm if there is a batch related issue or manufacturing defect Step three • We will reply to you with a copy of the manufacturers / distributors findings • We will replace all confirmed defective items on a like-for-like basis • We are unable to refund/replace items due to buyer personal preference " Great...yes....no thank you...I'd rather not spend the next 3 hours of my life gathering evidence for a replacement for a product that may end up being exactly the same.

Highly recommended powder, really impressed.
I bought this after my usual organic protein powder company were affected by Brexit and had issues importing their European whey. This is just as good. (Note - this is also European whey but my previous go-to company was a really small independent brand and I think they just didn’t have the capacity to hit the ground running after Brexit and with the pandemic. This company seems to have had no supply chain issues). The powder is light and fluffy and isn’t flavoured. It mixes well into smoothies, giving a creamy texture without changing the favour. It’s also great for adding to porridge and yogurt for a protein packed breakfast. The company seem very responsive to feedback and as a result of what their customers have said, they don’t include a plastic scoop - cutting down on unnecessary waste and boosting their green credentials. I have a 15ml scoop that came with my previous pack from another company which I’ve kept, so I’m fine without another one, but bear this in mind if you were expecting to find one inside the packet. The protein content is just the same as my previous powder but with fewer calories. For example, I use half a scoop in my morning porridge (7.5g of powder) which is 28 calories. My previous powder would have provided 30 calories. I know this is only a small difference but over the course of a week, shaving 2 to 4 calories off each scoop of protein does add up, so I’m happy about that. Overall this is a great product and the company seem very thoughtful in terms of their approach to the environment and making the best product possible for their customers. The power is of excellent quality and you get no horrible aftertaste or odd lumpy texture. Very versatile and works brilliantly for everything I use it for. I’m looking forward to making some protein pancakes with it - it’s very easy to achieve a smooth texture with this, no lumps and bumps, so I’m sure it’ll work well. If you’re looking for a versatile powder that can easily fit into your every day diet, I’d recommend this. It’s good value for money and meets all the needs of a decent protein powder without the problems you sometimes get (weird taste, stringy or lumpy texture, hard to mix into your other ingredients). This ticks all the boxes and I like the ethos of the company in terms of the environment, their organic status and their responsiveness to customer suggestions. I was apprehensive about buying a different brand as I’m so used to my usual powder, but I shouldn’t have been and I have no reservations about recommending this to others. If you’re new to protein powders and are a bit nervous about trying this, don’t be. You won’t have any of the issues that people post about on the internet, this would be great for your first dip into world of protein powders! Highly recommended.

Good product but a tad sweet.
I like this as it doesn't have any 'extra' ingredients other than organic whey, vanilla and coconut sugar. It has a clean taste and mixes in easily with almond milk with no trace of grittiness. The only thing I would say it that it is very sweet for my taste, hence the four stars not five, less of the sugar would be good. Next time, I think I'll try to unflavoured one.

One ingredient - fab!
Was looking for a whey protein powder as am vegetarian and most protein powders are meat-based. Read up on it and didn’t want UPF or added nonsense/ sugars and this fit the bill. I do think it’s expensive but I live that it is a natural product. It’s so easy to add to Greek yogurt in the morning and just mix in well (or it can remain powdery; or smoothies in a blender. It has a lovely creamy flavour but goes with anything. I use it after strength training and am gaining muscle but unclear if due to training or protein! But I definitely feel it’s a good back up as I sometimes struggle to get enough protein. I now have it on repeat order (a scoop a day nearly lasts a month). Would recommend+

Smooth and tasty
I have this on subscribe and save. Really nice flavour and doesn't taste gritty at all (although I do use a nutri bullet to mix mine with milk). Organic and clean and the pouch is easy to reseal. Only shame is that it doesn't come with a measuring spoon as I like to leave my measuring spoon in the pouch for quickness.
