This stuff is awesome! As a natural girl with true 4C, low porosity hair, this stuff is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I have tried everything and I mean everything to keep my overly curly, way too easy to tangle hair from knotting on itself. My fellow 4C's know what I'm talking about (wink). The only thing to rival this is aloe vera pulp, but who has time for all the prep that goes into it? The result is the same- a thick, slimy goo that envelopes each hair shaft with moisturizing hydration. My newly acquired easily detangled mane is soft, smooth and hydrated (which says a lot since my hair normally takes forever to absorb moisture, Leaving my crown brittle and drier than the Sahara). If that wasn't enough, it smells yummy.

This product is go for deep conditioning. My hair is coarse tight coils and I love how manageable my hair has become with using it.

Pros: It's thick, not watery like a lot of leave-ins. There's no white flakes or residue, and my natural hair stays soft even after product is fully absorbed. No more dry, crunchy, frizzy coils! Cons: Hard to squeeze from bottle, a jar would be better. Price is too inconsistent. Late 2023 an 8oz. bottle was $8 (ok), then by early 2024 it increased to $11 (hmmm, ok). By summer it came close to $15 (uh, no). That's too much $$ in my opinion for one cup of hair conditioner. Others are out there and may not work as well for me, but they're still so-so. Ingredients are available from DIY personal care sites, so I might start making for myself.

It does work as advertised! It conditions, softens, moisturizes, and detangles. This is a lightweight leave-in conditioner that does not weigh hair down and does not leave a buildup on the hair. It has a light scent. I have low-porosity, relaxed, below-shoulder-length hair. I appreciate lightweight moisturizers for my hair type. I am impressed with the performance of this product. It is also reasonably priced as well. I will continue to use it and repurchase it when I run out. I do recommend this leave-in conditioner.

I've spent the last year trying out different products (curly girl) and it seems like my hair has been getting drier and harder to work with. I know it's low porosity, which makes it difficult to find products...but I happened on this detangler and...OMG...I can actually come through my hair so easily AND, the results once dry are softer and more tangle-free. I can be very "honest" with reviews so believe me, if you have fine, low-porosity hair that can feel dry, this is the product for you. Even if you don't, this is a nice product if you want a light detangler leave-in. Definitely recommend!

The product did hydrate my 4C hair better than my usual leave-in but I am not a fan of the smell. Too much of a menthol type smell that I don’t care for and won’t repurchase. Might work for you if you like that type of scent.

Works amazing! I cant find it anywhere anymore. The smell is strong which may bother some people. Worked great on my low porosity hair.
