Designed for easy garden hose connection, it treats up to 225,000 liters of water, providing chemical-free, year-round protection for fish ponds and aquariums. Manufactured in the UK by an award-winning company, it offers a cost-effective, mess-free alternative to liquid dechlorinators. ## Description Evolution Aqua Dechlorinator, an in line carbon filter that helps remove harmful chemicals. As all pond keepers know, tap water contains chlorine and other impurities that are harmful to pond fish when it comes into contact with them. These chemicals can cause health problems and adversely effects the growth of beneficial bacteria in all filters. Effective removal of these chemicals is essential. While chemical treatments are available, a simple approach is to filter and treat the water as it is running straight from a tap and into the pond. Removes chemicals like: Chlorine, Chloramine, bromine and many dyes. The Dechlorinator is an easy to use In Line filter that attaches onto a standard garden hose pipe when it is connected to a tap. The De-Tox carbon filter removes the toxins in the tap water as it passes through from the tap and into the pond. High quality treatment from the source. The filter is extremely economical and ensures less mess then using chemical treatments. Ideal for first pond fills Specifications12" Dechlorinator Max Flow: 540 LPH (144 GPH) Treats Up to: 150000 Litres (33000 Gal) 30" Dechlorinator Max Flow: 540 LPH (144 GPH) Treats up to : 350000 Litres (76922 Gal) Review: Defective product+ Bad CS - Bought this product base on great reviews BUT when i received my order all carbon inside keeps falling, might be factory defect. and the refund takes 8 days, if i didn't contact desertcart CS maybe my refund will take longer than the set timeframe. desertcart.ae needs to improved especially bad CS department, you are giving favor for your rivals Review: Excellent - I should have bought one years ago - I came across these when I was looking to reduce the blanket weed growing in my pond, and I believe this will take out the nutrients feeding the weed as well as dechlorinating the tap water which I previously let sit in my water butts for a few days to dechlorinate, but apparently this didn't deal with the weed problem as I should only use filtered water or rain water which is difficult when it doesn't rain. Now mounted vertically with a recommended 4" pipe clip, which had a 3mm gap around it when closed - so it didn't fit. I found some suitable neoprene material to fill the gap, and it is now held snugly - it was a bit of a flaff to fit. The flow rate that I use is between 2-3 LPM to make sure that water is filtered thoroughly, and it probably takes up to a couple of hours to fill a full size water butt which is my pond reservoir. I am very pleased with it and it should last me 4-5 years before it will need replacing - maybe longer, but I will never really know when it is exhausted unless I test the water periodically - which I don't. ## Features - βœ” Natural, effective, chemical free dechlorinator for fish ponds and aquariums - Protect your fish and pond life by filtering out harmful chlorine and impurities, making tap water safe without the need to introduce harmful chemicals. - βœ” Highest grade activated carbon removes more harmful impurities than liquid treatments - Quickly and effectively removes chlorine, chloramine, bromine, malachite green, dyes, humic acids, organics, proteins, antibiotics, hormones and ozone. - βœ” Simply fill up straight from the hosepipe - Connects easily to garden hose or rigid pipe work with standard connectors (included in box). I’d advise you to get a inline water meter so you know what 4 litres a minute looks like or you can see the flow rate in my video below. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/440720903-evolution-aqua-pond-dechlorinator-for-fish-ponds-activated-carbon-chlorine](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/440720903-evolution-aqua-pond-dechlorinator-for-fish-ponds-activated-carbon-chlorine) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
