A: These PIR motion sensor lights include light sensor and motion sensor. It doesn't turn on in bright areas to save battery life. It ONLY turns on when movement is detected in the DARK.

**Q: will these lights turn on when my dog walks past them?**
A: Yes, but they will be turned on when the dog walks past them in a dark environment (below 20lux).

**Q: Would it break if it falls from 10ft ceiling on cement floor?**
A: They are pretty lightweight, so they might survive a bounce instead of smashing if they fall, but the back will definitely pop off. The batteries fit tightly so they shouldn’t fall out even after a fall.

**Q: My refrigerator has a light at top, so the lower shelves are dark. Will this work in a dim area, but not completely dark?**
A: This sensor light has a light sensor, which will prevent the light from working in a brighter environment to reach the purpose of power saving. The two lights are installed too close, and the first light that is turn on will inhibits other lights to work. 

If you need it to work in a brighter environment. You could manually open the case and cover all or part of the light sensor with black tape. The specific method can be obtained by contacting the seller, and this process can be completed within 1 minute.
