I love astragalus. For years, I told everyone to take echinacea ..but now I advise astragalus.I smoked from age 12-34 when I found out I was pregnant. I immediately quit, but I experienced a “healing crisis.” I had bronchitis on and off the entire pregnancy. This stuff was amazing bc I would take a tincture full, and almost immediately it would break up the congestion . I give it to my kids now -3 and 1- whenever they get sick ..same deal..if they have mucus they can’t blow out, the astragalus almost immediately brings it out. Gross but oh so helpful. I can echo what someone else said about it helping the lungs. I had chronic lung issues even from childhood but I am able to breathe so much better now. I keep this and capsules around the house. Depending on how hard I get hit with whatever germ, I take tincture , capsule, or both. Extremely effective. Been using now for 4 years

I love astragalus for many reasons, helps with longevity, overall immune system booster and many other reasons. I love that the taste too is great. I get the non alcohol and it still goes down smooth when I mix it in water or tea or juice. Packaging was nice, no broken bottle or any other problem. Due to kidney issues, I have high glucose reading for a awhile (on empty stomach), I read from researches that Astragalus root (not leaf) helps balancing blood sugar after eating. I took 3 times a day, the extract worked very well, I don’t feel sleepy anymore after a big meal. My recent reading also came down from 99 to 77. I also bought the capsule version but it didn’t do anything for me.

Nothing to dislike about this astragalus..I have ordered several bottles I wish they would offer us much larger sizes..your immune system will be stronger and if u take this with red clover blossom and ginger they will clean out your lymphatic valves that allows excess liquids to drain and leave the body I also buy the powder and add to ginger for tea...I had a mystery swelling in my right foot that no Doctor or test could solve...Doctors always say it’s the kidney or Edina why the feet swell so the ever present pills ere prescribed only to have my swelling return once the meds wears out the body...I am a Holistic Health Coach and was determined to solve the mystery with my foot...my kidneys are well and I am healthy and skinny with no known excess water retention so I had to solve the mystery...I did a lot of research and learned about the pipes under our skin and how blockage can cause swelling in the body...This plant with ginger and red clover blossom daily got rid of my sausage looking right foot.My foot can now fit in many of my shoes again..don’t use it just a few times and the say it does not work plants have no artificial boosters so they work slower than the toxic meds the Doctor prescribed or those from the pharmacy and other places...I waited many months to write this so I can honestly say that my foot remains looking the way it should. No more swelling and stiffness..I still drink the tea but not often...you can also do drops of astragalus in water or lightly sweetened juice...plants are amazing...I will always have this at home

I was skeptical about it being 2,000 mg in 2 ml, but I know what 500 mg feels like, and I know what 1,000 or even 1,500 mg all at once feels like, and this feels a bit stronger than even 1,500. However, the flavor leaves a bit to be desired. I've experienced 3 other liquid astragalus products and they all had the same great sweet astragalus flavor (when mixed with vegetable glycerin), but this one is kind of unpleasant. It's more bitter than sweet. The first taste made me wonder if something's wrong with it. I chase it down with a bit of water and it's mostly ok, but I likely won't buy another bottle due to the aftertaste. I can just take more of what I have been buying to equal this one since I actually kind of like its flavor and it will ultimately cost me about the same amount of money.Before you say I should just mix it with water and then drink the mix, I find taking it straight off of a spoon and chasing it down with water to be much easier and much faster. I normally don't mind unpleasant flavors either, so the fact that I'm chasing it down with water is fairly significant. So you should think about how important flavor is to you before you buy. If you're even tougher than I am with unpleasant flavors, you'll love the potency. Otherwise, this might be one to avoid.

Traditionally astragalus is used seasonally rather than daily, which is how I use it. Some years I'm late on the draw and already have something coming on when I get my supply. I've found that the illness clears up faster and with less severity of symptoms than it used to before I started using this medicinal herb. I have tried several different preparations of astragalus, including teas, capsules and tinctures, and I greatly prefer the tinctures for ease of use. I am especially fond of this formulation because it tastes sweet and earthy. A dropperful with a water chaser is very, very easy to take. Highly recommended. Keep in mind though that this herb boosts your immune system - it is known to be problematical for people using immune suppressants and not recommended in such cases.
