Brass Garden Hose Adapter Swivel Fitting, 1/2” Barb and 3/4” GHT Female Connector, Heavy-Duty High-Pressure Support, Rust and Corrosion Resistant

It works! I bought a new hose, and the end was broken before I ever got to use it! Decided to upgrade it to brass, and it's perfect!

Seems fine. Its an adapter, not much to it.

Fits fine, but for hoses with coiled steel, the coiled steel doesn't easily crush when one tighten the hose clamp. It's not the adapter fitting that's the problem; it's the coiled steel tubing protecting the inner hose. I thought the o-ring was leaking. I was wrong; the leak occurred at the barb because I used the wrong size clamp which didn't seal the plastic to the barb. I have two hose clamps. One smaller one on the barb and inner plastic tubing and a slightly larger clamp on the coiled steel which is barely holding on. Also, one can find the same adapter fitting at a lower price at big box stores.

I brought the fitting to help to connect a hose to a small pump that require a 1/2 hose connection for suction. One end has a suction bulb that can be used to prefill the pump before use and the other end is the actual hose for discharge. The arrangement has worked well enough to have the tank emptied.

I needed to make a hose conversion setup for an apartment-sized washer. I had to go from a metric faucet to an intermediate 3/8" hose to a standard garden host fitting on the washer. This was the fitting that went from the 3/8" host to the washer. I needed to add another o-ring (std garden host size).

Excellent brass fittings and washers. Used for making several connections and they are effortlessly leak proof on my pressurized system. The barbs are snug but not difficult to install, would recommend.

These are the third set of GHT to 1/2 Inch Barb adapters I've purchased, and they are the best. The other twos sets I bought leaked, and in a strange way. They had a single small stream coming out of them that I could not get stopped. I gave up and ordered these, and they worked perfectly out of the box. I'm using them for adapters from an Orbit B-Hyve Drip irrigation controller through Orbit Anti-siphon valves. Perfect fit, Grade A construction, and a much better swivel interface. From GHT to 1/2 Inch Barb, these are the way to go!
