Crimson Reign: A sumptuous romantasy from SUNDAY TIMES and NEW YORK TIMES best selling author of SONG OF SILVER, FLAME LIKE NIGHT : Zhao, Amélie Wen: desertcart.ae: Books Review: If you love the shadow and bone trilogy. This trilogy is for you, the world building is amazing and very alike to the grishaverse. Politics, ideology's and the similarities of the small science to affinities. Id highly suggest this book and the 2 before it. I havent finished this book yet, but im half way and loving it. Review: This was a stunning conclusion to an amazing series. Zhao is one of my favorite new authors. Her writing is wonderfully fresh, and she knows how to bring a book together. Ana is an Affinite in a world that hates them and wants nothing more than to just have a life where everyone is accepted. Ramson, the love interest, is a wonderfully grey character with a complex backstory that keeps you pulled in throughout the whole series. Linn, our third protagonist, is a strong Affinite in her own right, with strong morals and beliefs that drive her to protect those she cares about. Now, the first two books were five star reads. Easily. Action in every chapter, great pacing, all that. This book took a hit on pacing and thrill. While still exciting, the setup took longer than anticipated, and I often found myself skimming through sections and missing nothing. Editing issues: -There is a LOT repeated in this book. Whole sentences here and there, entire paragraphs simply reworded. It's obvious that the author was kind of lost with aspects of the book and was doing a lot of filler. -Repetition of words was also a glaring issue here. The editor really just dropped the ball here. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and will definitely be rereading the series in the future. Strong finish with just a few points I didn't love, and a great series overall. The ending was amazing and perfect for the cast.

4.5 ⭐️ Perfect ending to an amazing series! I cried.. a lot. I was so happy to see my fav. characters have a happy ending, though it was really rough getting there. Ana, Ramson, and Linn are separated each following his and her journey on how to stop Morganya. We got 3 POVS and each was necessary to fit the story. I devoured each page and kept turning pages in anticipation. There were some really cute scenes between Ana and Ramson and even Linn had some cites scenes with a certain someone. I freaking loved Linn in this book. There were other side characters I really enjoyed too. There were even some that found redemption from past mistakes. Overall, a solid ending and just a great series to begin with. I highly recommend!
