RadioMaster TX16S Mark II MAX Edition

Best Radio Yet!!!
I've had the Spektrum iX12 radio for 4 years now. It is to this day the most expensive and disappointing RC radio I have ever owned. (And I've been in this hobby almost 50 years now) Over priced, insanely slow and numerous glitches it has driven almost crazy. It's fantastic when it works right but that doesn't happen often.I am absolutely blown away by the Radio Master TX16S MKII. There is a little bit of a learning curve to the Open TX or Edge Tx operating systems, I'm using Edge TX 2.8, but after you get over that the features, options, custommability and logic of the layout is phenomenal. Probably not for a newbie, but it will take you from the next step up to as far as you can go and for far fewer dollar than those iX monster radios!!!

Endlessly customizable
It's all the open source radio goodness I was already used to. It's a quality item, though heavier with all the aluminum upgrades than my Taranis.Came with different sets of grips, a screen protector, an extra set of softer gimbal springs and even the rings that allow you to change the gimbal depth.Slowly transitioning all my planes. Copied and pasted the models easily, but carefully testing one at a time.

Nice remote but must be willing to learn
Open tx is an entirely different language from a spectrum remote but YouTube will make u a specialist in short order. Be willing to invest the time into learning and the payback will yield benifical. Had it for a few months now and absolutely love it. Plenty of how to videos on YouTube. This remote works with almost anything and it it don’t the modules are available for purchase so it will. Ever evolving operation system it’s awesome

The new new
It seems to me that the hype for the great radio master tx16s max edition must be hit and miss the controller said to come with dual speakers and I received mine without sound completely I thought it was me so I kept trying different things but in the end I let frustration take control and I opened it up to positively see that my radio master did in fact have no dual speakers it may have had the one in front but the rear was missing as too was the headphone jack so I will stay with my jumper t16 and write this off as lesson learned dont just run to the new kid on the block just because everyone else is . If what you have is working and you only want new new then your setting your self up for a let down somewhere along the way thanks for reading

Not happy with this product
This description says EdgeTX/OpenTX this does not come with OpenTX and there are no files or instructions to change it. I was considering returning this radio until I went to plug in the SD card, and to my absolute horror it dropped inside the radio, and I had to cut the factory seal to get it out. This is when I discovered that all of these new TX16s hum like mad when you turn on a Crossfire module. The more watts, the louder they buzz till you can fell it vibrate in your hands at 2 watts. My old TX16s is completely quiet with the same Crossfire module, but I wired the internal module in that radio and it did not come with it. I've been told, they all hum. That the audio is routed is too close to crossfire. Anyway is buzzes really loud with xfiire or ELRS systems. As for the gimbals they operate identical to the Lite modelthere was no difference in action. So I would recommend purchasing the economy model instead, as it actually works much better. I feel I paid alot extra for just a CNC plate kit which sells here for cheap. Safe your money, build your own max!

Company won't provide information
I tried to contact RadioMaster customer service at least 5 or 6 times to ask them if this transmitter would work with the Phoenix Flight Simulator. I never got an answer back. When a company doesn't or cannot answer questions about its products, I don't deal with them. I haven't been able to get the information I need anywhere else.
