After spending a little over 6 months researching a good Retractable Garden Hose Reel, I had finally settled on a unit by a company called HoseLink. When I finally went to purchase, I noticed that they didn't have a hose long enough for my property. I went back to looking at alternatives and I came across the Giraffe Tools Retractable Hose Reel with 130 ft. of hose. At first I was a little hesitant to purchase because there were some good and bad reviews, but I decided on the purchase anyway. After a few weeks of using the product, I noticed that the bottom of the unit was missing a screw and the housing/casing that holds the hose was coming apart. I was discouraged since I had only had the reel for less than two months at this time. I immediately contacted Giraffe Tools about the issue and they were quick to respond and requested a picture of the defect. Once they confirmed that the unit was damaged, they quickly sent out a replacement unit and included UPS tracking information. The new unit arrived a few days later and it took only a few minutes to remove the old and replace with the new unit. It works great and this new unit seems a bit sturdier than the previous one. I could not be more happy with this company and their customer service. They were quick to correct the issue and I will strongly consider purchasing more products from their brand. Mom loves this hose and reel combo. I mounted it on the wall for her and it has just been performing perfectly. I needed a way for my 80+ year old mom to water her plants and this worked great. Wall mounting was easy, it took 20 minutes. Been working for several weeks and has moms seal of approval. Reel action is easy to work even for an 80 year old.

I bought 2 for last 3 weeks. I like how quick they ship and how good for material they made. I installed 1 and was really happy with the hose. Everything was okay until I installed the second one. I wish I checked the hose and pressure before I put it on the wall. There is something wrong with it , and the water pressure is so weak. When I change back to the former hose which is replaced, the pressure is okay. Surely, there maybe bent hose inside the box and we don’t know until we do testing. Be careful! Update from 08/20/2022: The company contacted me and explained that the gray reels I got has a small hose, which causes the water pressure lower than the black one. Thank Grace so much for your service and be patient to help me out of my problem.

We bought for the 130ft length to reach our garden beds we actually only needed 123ft length. This hose is 17ft short of the advertise length. Also for some reason when it's fully extended it looses its pressure considerably. We use a 5/8 hose normally and have lots of pressure i think maybe it kinks up inside machine. Also when it's fully extended it won't lock so you can water without fighting it from going back in. This hose would be ok for short length under 75ft. MAYBE. I should of looked at the 1star rating reviews they are all true. Sending back will stick with the old way hand wind the hose . The only possitive it seems to be sturdy ,mounts good and swivels good self wind up works good. But not worth the money spent

Great at keeping the hose out of the way! The multi spray grip & reel work very well, even when pulled all the way out. Challenging but not impossible to attach to a concrete wall. The mount does not come out quite far enough to let fold flat against the wall but does get close. The elbow mentioned in a previous review is very helpful in keeping the attach hose out of the way. Would like to get an extra mount to move it to front yard but haven't seen where it is sold seperately. It needs a cover when not in use!!! Birds constantly want to make nests inside it! Very annoying and very difficult to clean out a nest that has been built up over time (went on vacation for two weeks and the nest took an hour to clean out. Luckily it didn't damage anything. A large pillow case seems to work but does not look great.

I love it so much I bought 2 of them. What a great product. You finally built a better mouse trap so to speak! No issues at all.

I have two 5/8 hoses retractables and the flow is better for us. This is 1/2 inch. It is ok but mounting can be a challenge in that I have had to use a stabilizing belt around the posts for all three of these since the stress on the skrews is so high. No big deal. I used straps for securing stuff on the truck. Good for peace of mind that it will not pull off the wall. Retracts fast fast fast.

the hose sprayer always breaks and leaks ... I have changed it 2 times to no avail .... I hope the company manufactures a hose sprayer that is well designed and does not leak
