No connxn from outside of assigned wifi. No scheduling ability. *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2017* This device and it's app simply do not work. First, the device has no way to communicate with it until it is connected to a wifi network that your smartphone/tablet is connected to. Because of this, and because the device obviously doesn't know your secure wifi password when you take it out of the box, the only way to get to it is to set up an un-secure wifi network (bad situation) to connect to it through. Once you finally connect to it and tell it your secure credentials, then it will move to that network and you can connect to it there. Unfortunately, with no internet account to see the device when away from your home network, as soon as you leave the driveway, connection to the device is impossible. Also, even when on the same wifi network, there are no options in the app for setting schedules or anything as advertised, just a simple on/off switch. Extremely useless for most applications.
