Despite being somewhat put off by negative comments, I decided to try them. After all I have purchased Florsheim shoes from childhood. And for me while the price has gone up, the quality, fit, and comfort is better than ever. I would not hesitate to recommend these specific shoes to a friend.As to CONS . . .I have experienced nothing negative yet. Updates are forthcoming when appropriate.And now to the PROS . . .The very first thing I do after insuring a new pair fits on both feet is to give them a military spit shine. First a good smooth layer of Kiwi polish goes on. I let that layer dry. Next I cover my finger with two layers of an old cotton tee shirt, dip it in cool water, get a dab of polish on it, and go to work. Anyone who has served can give you the fine points of this process. After a time or two, they will shine nicely and the toe cap will gleam! If you want them to the point where you can see the divisions between your teeth in the toe cap, that takes a bit of work. If you want a lesser shine, use a brush to finish the shine.Next the fit . . .These fit just like they always did in the size I always pick. No surprises there. I do have a fairly high instep. So I always leave the laces at the top a bit loose when tying them. Perfect fix as always.So on to comfort . . .I put the black pair on the next morning and wore them all day. The padding on the inside is incredible! They were comfortable all day. Moreover I did not feel the need to remove them when I got home.All in all they are just a fine shoe for the price. In an ever-changing world, these are a constant.

30 years ago, I bought my first pair of dress shoes, Florsheim, and I thought I had arrived. They looked like a million bucks, but the hard leather sole was as uncomfortable as all dress shoes were back then. Thankfully times have changed. The shoes are the same look and quality that I loved in the first pair. The comfort has changed completely. Gone are the leather soles that wear out and must be replaced. More importantly, the foot bed is not carefully crafted to provide proper and comfortable support and cushion. I now own two pairs of different colors. Highly recommended.

I bought these as a replacement for a prior pair - it took some searching to find them.I struggle greatly to find shoes that fit, because I have a wide, but very tall, foot. The tall is what makes most shoes not fit/uncomfortable, but if they are wide enough, I can manage. These actually allow for the taller foot (I tried at least a half dozen pair from various brands and sizes).Good looking and finish is good quality.

Really nice shoes for the price. They look good and are made well.

I’ve now owned at least three pairs of these shoes over the years, and I keep repurchasing them when they wear out because they’re that good. They’re comfortable, good quality, and hit just the right spot between formal and casual that they work just as well with my suit as they do with a pair of jeans. They also hold up well, abs I’ve only had to replace them after extensive use.

I bought these after doing research on most comfortable dress shoes. They are good, but not as good as I was hoping for.

Finding X-Wide shoes that fit is a bit difficult for me. These Florsheim shoes fits great. Amazon shows these are in X-Wide (3E). However, when shoes arrived, the label states 5E. A bit loose, but with thicker socks, it feels fine.

I have always been a huge Florsheim fan, but I have made the mistake before returning something because it felt tight when I tried it on. You have to remember that well-made leather shoes need to be worn in. When I got these and put them on they felt a little tight but kept them on while doing some work at home (so on the carpet and mild wood surfaces) for about 3 hours. After about 1 hour you'll start to notice them stretching out, especially if you have a back door you can stand by and get them warm from the sun.The Shoe is fantastic, I highly recommend you pick up a pair for casual and formal use. They fight is perfect now that I have broken them in, and the color is absolutely gorgeous.
