The fit and finish are Eklind's normal quality, that is, excellent! A stout tool!

I use almost exclusively metric tools in my garage and have really appreciated my metric version of this tool. When I recently took up archery (hopefully leading to bow hunting!), my bow used a variety of different SAE allen screws. Without hesitation, I ordered this SAE version to carry in my quiver. For the small price difference, I would not consider buying one of the cheap imported hex key sets. They tend to not fit screws well, are flexy, and the whole assembly often loosens up resulting in frustration trying to use.

I have an old Eklind SAE set of allen wrenches similar to this but my old set has far more useful sizes than this set does. Not sure why they changed it so much. Will be returning this.

I bought this one to replace a similar tool that I’d had for nearly 40 years until it fell in the ocean. My old one had a few years’ professional user before I switched careers. The new one is nearly identical. It arrived with the screws overnighted, making it hard to move the individual keys. I loosened them slightly and all is well. Note that the design is changed slightly from the photos in the ad. The screws are now black Allen-head types rather than the slotted, plaster ones shown. This made adjustment easier, but only time will tell how corrosion resistant they are. One of my kids may well inherit this tool, something I can’t say about most these days.
