Love the new packaging!
The new bottle makes it much easier to dispense for hand wash. This unscented detergent prevents lingering gym odors. It does what it says--great product!

Saved my workout wear!
I don't typically write reviews, but felt compelled to write one for Nathan's. I typically workout 5-6 times/week and so have a fairly large collection of performance wear. I had been using regular detergent for years without any problem, but over the past few months many of my wicking clothes (particularly the tops) started having that smell people often talk about (to me, it smelled like my cat had peed on my clothes - gross!). After washing them, the clothes seemed to be fine, but as soon as I started working out it would bring about this smell. I was about to just replace them, but thought I'd give one of these performance wear-specific detergents a try first. And I'm super-glad I did! After one wash in Nathan's all of my technical clothes are now back to normal. Here's what I did: I filled the washing with warm water, adding one capful of Nathan's (all of my workout clothes combined are about a medium sized load). I didn't add fabric softener because this apparently affects the wicking performance of the clothing and makes the Nathan's less effective. I stopped the cycle as soon as the machine was filled with water and let it soak for about 30 minutes. Then I just ran the normal cycle and dried everything (again, without drier sheets). I've tested all of the clothing by wearing them while working out and everything is back to normal. This stuff is magic!

All synthetics not just athletic clothes
so little needed for a washload. Synthetics, everything, is super clean and fresh, with very little per washload. So it's also cost effective... for the best, no scent, really clean clothes.

The only detergent for workout clothes
This is the only detergent that keeps my workout clothes from stinking (washed in cold, line dried). The only reason it's not 5 stars is the spout design. Other detergents typically have a feature to prevent dripping. This does not. It's very messy. Need to ensure it's ALL out of the cap before securing again (or don't use the cap to measure the detergent for your load)

Great for hand washing
I LOVE this stuff. I first bought it because my clothes were mysteriously coming out of the laundry still smelly. While it helped, it didn't solve that problem (see below for the solution), but I started hand washing clothes out of desperation, thinking my public laundry machines must be the problem. This stuff is amazing for hand washing! I do a final rinse, but it can be a much quicker rinse than needed for other detergents. And it does a great job with cleaning out gross sports wear. You can use a very little, and still have it work wonders - this is my second bottle in 2+ years. I'm really glad I can still find it here. Why my clothes were smelling - I eventually discovered the issue was that the tap water in my building was near freezing cold, including the stuff that went straight to my laundry machine. Most modern detergents work with "cold" water, but they define cold as 60 degrees F or higher. Mine was getting close to 32 degrees - eventually the pipes froze! So if your clothes start mysteriously getting smellier in the winter, you haven't developed super sweat (my first theory) - you might want to check the temperature of your machine's water.

Works great
This detergent seems to help get rid of odor in my wicking clothes. It's important to use only a little, because wicking clothes aren't supposed to be washed in too much detergent as it causes problems with the special fibers. I guess you can actually lock in the bad odor. Also, fyi, they are supposed to dry on low with no dryer sheets or fabric softener. I recommend using half the amount of detergent they suggest and adding more each time if you need it until you get to the amount right for getting rid of your bad odor. Some of us are more stinky than others. Use some wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets. And if needed, add some vinegar to your wash. Soaking in vinegar and soap helps too.

GREAT Product leaks during shipment
This is a great detergent for sweaty technical clothing. I have nothing but the highest praise for it. The problem is the combination of an inadequately adhered cap seal (the kind that is glued around the "spout" of the container), a loose screw-on cap, and Amazon's handling of the container during order pull, sortation, and packing that causes both the seal (and apparently) the cap to loosen. There's obviously a leakage problem, since the Amazon warehouse workers tied my bottle in a plastic bag prior to placing it in a carton. In my case, the package only had to travel about 25 miles between the warehouse and my house, during which several ounces leaked into the plastic bag. Longer "commutes" could result in the loss of most of the contents of the bottle. The answer is (1) a better seal being applied by the manufacturer and (2) Amazon's making sure the screw-on cap is really tight prior to packing. Good Luck!!!!!

It Works Very Well
On workout clothes that have run a 1/2 marathon, this gets them clean and fresh and is made to clean my running and cycling clothes. It works, I am happy

All I use. Only thing that removes strong odours from armpit and crotch area. Rinses with no residue. Rub in directly if buildup of deodorant on clothes too. A little goes a long way.

I've tried several different types of odour removing detergents and this is the only one that removed the foul smells. It worked on moldy smelling towels, soiled underwear, and sweaty gym attire. I've recommended it to others. My only complaint is the cap. Wish it were better designed so that after you finish pouring the detergent it doesn't drip down the side of the bottle.

I didn't buy this product to use on my workout clothes, because I don't wear high performance fabrics and I don't work out. I am sensitive/allergic to fragrances and scent of any kinds. I have been using scent free everything on my laundry and everything else for 18 months or so, but our clothes still have some lingering smells. Our cotton t-shirts have body odors that nothing has been able to get rid of. I got my order and immediately gathered up all stinky t-shirts, and washed them with 2 capfuls of Power Sport Wash. Twice. I soaked both loads of laundry in the tub and the smell from the water was interesting, especially considering most of the clothes were "clean". After the first wash there was a little lingering smell, after the second wash, no smell at all, YAY!! And surprisingly to me, the t-shirts feel different. They are so much softer. Right now I have a load of towels soaking in the washer, can't wait to see how they come out. If you have issues with scents and fragrances I highly recommend this product. I will be using it for all my laundry from now on.

It worked well as described but when ever you filled the cap to add to the washer when you replaced the lid on the container it runs down the side and makes a mess. I would buy again if they fixed this issue.
