Best keychain flashdrive
I’ve had one of these on my keys for a couple years now and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s very durable and very compact, I’ve never had it malfunction in the years I’ve been using it. It may not be the fastest drive but compactness and ruggedness is why you buy this flashdrive. I work in industrial automation and I always am making backups and transferring programs from one system to another. This keychain flashdrive has saved my bacon more times then one. I also keep several of my favorite movies on this flashdrive which you can then plug into the back of any smart tv and watch anywhere. My only recommendation to Kingston is to beef up the metal body end of the USB A- plug as it has deformed inward on me slightly a few times, nothing that couldn’t be straightened out easily with a flathead but I’d like to see it’s end look straight all the time and not have to worry about it before I plug it in. I hope Kingston will release a durable all metal keychain version of their dual end usb-A and usb-c flash drive soon as some laptops only support USB-C nowadays. But for now this works great for 95% of my needs. Can’t recommend enough!

Small and tough little USB drive.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is exactly what I need. I am often on the run and my other USB drives all broke. I always keep a small USB drive on my keychain and it's nice to have a small compact thumb drive that is durable and won't break. Durability: My previous USB thumb drives were all plastic shells and where I'd put them on my keychain...that part would often snap off. This thing is solid as a rock and has had no issues. I love it and it's super tiny on my keychain.

Great back up without getting the cloud involved. Old school folk only :-)
I bought it to hold a lot of data and because it is metal, it is very sturdy and able to attach to my house/car ring with no worries about damaging it. Hooks up to computer easily. Speed is fast enough for my purposes. Size holds far more data than I need. The cloud is the big back up for most folk. I'm old school, and like something I can hold...just in case.

Works great to store IT tools on my lanyard ring
Works great to store IT tools on my lanyard ring. I keep various hard drive utilities and testing software along with ISO's for possible reinstalls. Plenty of space for what i need.

Tiny......
Most certainly NOT USB 3.2 speed. Very slow. But very unobtrusive. Place a couple on your keyring and your won't even know they're there. If you want fast, cheap and metal check out the Samsung Bar Plus units. Twice the length, but small enough and they fit nicely on your keychain as well.

Very compact emergency drive
This is a very compact drive that I attached to my car keys with critical files to always carry with me in an emergency. I am not a "prepper," but having lived in areas that were prone to some catastrophic events like hurricanes, forest fires, and tornado I learned that a few simple preparations can make your life easier if you have to evacuate an area with little notice. Having important files with me is one of those simple things that matter if you need it.

Tough little thing
Great item. Fast transfer speeds for what I use it for. I like backing up on multiple items, and this makes that possible. 256GB drives make this case 3TB of storage! And I can back up a few times to be safe. I write and must ensure I have a few copies in case one gets damaged.
