Thinner than expected, but it works..Tips for Application
I purchased the "Expert Shield - THE Screen Protector for: Canon Rebel T6s / T6i / T5i - Crystal Clear" for my Canon T6s thinking it would have been a thicker tempered-glass screen protector. It's not.. It's a very thin film. This is the first time I applied a screen protector to a screen, and right out of the gate I thought I had destroyed it. Bubbles and dust spots EVERYWHERE. In this, I learned that the protective sheets are not 100% required for application.I attempted to fix the issue by rinsing the silicon side under cold water tap. This worked. After several attempts to apply the screen protector without dust spots, I was finally able to get the protector positioned and with the least amount of dust spots (1 tiny spec that's hardly noticeable without knowing where it is).Tips:1. If you screw up the first time, don't worry. Just don't crease or bend the film.2. Rinse the film under cold water. Allow it to mostly dry (tiny bit of water on the film allows you to position it easier on the screen. can be squeegeed away).3. Use tape to remove dust spots from the LCD screen prior to application (try your best to remove all the dust spots)3. You can move the film on the screen even after application to position it where you want it (takes steady pressure)4. Use a credit card from the center of the protector and squeegee the bubbles away past the permitter (the same can be done to remove the air trapped around small dust spots making small dust spots nearly invisible)4. Be patient (if you mess up, take a piece of tape and pull the film off the screen. Rinse and repeat..literally).
