Excellent Extract, Wonderful Flavor
Love this extract, will absolutely buy again. Got it to use exclusively for cooking. Flavor is quite strong, very little required in a recipe to taste. Bottle seems tiny at first but it's definitely going to last given the potency. Used a scant 1/4 tsp to help boost the bergamot flavor of a sweet pumpkin quick bread I make often using earl gray tea steeped in evaporated milk, came through as a gorgeously warm, fruity, slightly spicy undertone (pan size 9 x 13, standard APF w/ baking soda acid leavening). Really like that's it's pure food grade essential oil. Normally don't mind alcohol extracts in general but I've been disappointed by other brands of bergamot flavor, this is by far my favorite in terms of taste. Per the suggestion in the review by S. Whited I've also used it to flavor black tea by placing a single drop on the dry bag prior to steeping. Worked great, tasted even better. Please note, while it smells amazing DO NOT EVER use bergamot essential oil of directly on the skin! Being food grade/pure pressed oil it is perfectly safe to ingest. When exposed to UV light directly on skin however, it becomes phototoxic and will cause nasty sunburns (this does not change regardless of the oil being food or cosmetic grade). Seriously, do not ever put undiluted essential oils directly on skin without researching first.

Great for tea making.
Just a drop goes a long way. Perfect for flavoring tea leaves for earl grey. Very nice citrus smell and the taste is incredible.

Best Quality Food-Grade Bergamot Oil I've Found
This is my favorite food-grade bergamot oil so far. I'm still looking for a less expensive alternative that has the quality that this oil has, but so far I haven't found one.I've bought a lot of LorAnn food-grade oils and have never had a complaint with them at all, not in the quality nor the delivery nor the billing. I've bought them from Amazon and I've bought them directly from the LorAnn website, never a problem. But you must understand that these are meant for food use so you won't find them to have the reducer on the openings. You'll need a dropper but those are rather inexpensive and can be bought in lots. Finally, oils don't mix with water, so if you want to use this to flavor your tea you'll need to put the oil directly on the bag or the tea itself. Just dropping it into your water will not give you the result you are looking for, and might put you off bergamot for good! :D

Needs a dropper
This stuff is great! I bought it to make "London Fog" coffee, but also used it in a diffuser. It smells and tastes great. The only downside is there is no dropper to dispense the oil. If you try to pour out a tiny amount you WILL make a mess.

Not marked food grade
The bottle does not say it is ok for consumption or food gradeI’ve tried to notify thru Amazon it just says not eligible for return or refund. No other response, so far

Love the flavor. Just like Earl Grey tea with bergamot.
I am very happy with this purchase. I've always loved Earl Grey tea with bergamot, but that gets costly as I drink a lot of tea. So what I now do is fill a huge double-walled metal cup every day with tea. Then, honestly, use just one drop to flavor that large amount . I don't use a dropper; I simply take a plastic chopstick, barely touch the oil with the tip of the stick, and then stir my tea with it. Works great for me!
