Bestop 5492217 Black Twill Trektop NX Glide Convertible Soft Top for 2007-2018 Wrangler JK 2-Door

Install took me about 4 hours, including removing my old factory sunrider top - Simple tools required, and I installed it by myself aside from one or two steps. DEFINITELY need to install on a warm day, in the sun in order for it to fit easily on the first try. It fits tight, but I would be disappointed if it didn't. Couple parts of the install were tricky to do by myself and required an extra set of hands to help hold while I installed some of the screws. As far as the quality goes, I couldn't be happier. This is truly a PREMIUM quality soft top, the Twill fabric feels and looks luxurious. The tinted windows look great as well. The function of the glide windows is brilliant, there's no going back to zippers after you install this. The ONLY down side I can think of however - The windows, when removed, have stiff frames on some of the sides, and cannot be rolled into a window sleeve type carrier. I would not really want to carry the windows with me in the jeep (I have a 2-door jk). There isn't a good way to roll them, and they would take up a lot of space in the back of the jeep and be hard to protect from scratching. You have to commit to no windows if you venture out without them, otherwise, couldn't be happier with the top! A final note: I had a damaged part when my top arrived. I was able to install the top using this damaged part (Part of the header bar), but I called Bestop and mentioned the damaged part. They sent out a replacement right away with no questions. Great customer service from the manufacturer, so buy with confidence!! There's no better option for a stylish and super high quality soft top for your JK!

Purchased this top to replace my 5 year old factory soft top. This Twill top is an improvement in every regard. Looks so much better with the fast back and the true black of the twill. I have much less road noise. My wife immediately noticed how much quieter the jeep is with the top up and windows rolled up. The install was pretty straight forward. I would highly suggest reading up on it and watching some videos on youtube before beginning the install. The top is REALLY TIGHT when it's first installed. A warm day is highly recommended. Once the top has been installed a week or so it will loosen up and allow the windows to go off and on with ease. I have had this top a couple of months now and I am very happy with my purchase. It's pricey but I got what I paid for. Highly recommend.

This is a replacement top I ordered for the original soft top. This top is a far better quality than the original. It is much easier to put up and down and is amazingly really quiet and absolutely no leaks!! My wife who is only 5' tall can put it up by herself pretty quickly. The original top she couldn't even get on and it took me over 3/4 to 1 hour to put it up on a hot day. (forget it on a cold one) There is no more annoying bar going through the side window and it looks much nicer than the original. I would highly recommend on spending the extra money and buy this top over the cheaper tops that are available.

I bought a 2013 Rubicon in 2021 with only 32k miles. It was taken care of, but I imagine it was mostly left in the Sun judging by the faded fenders and bumpers. The vinyl top was quite weathered and was leaking at the seams into my door surrounds. After a decent bit of research, I found this top to match my needs. Set up went about as expected. It took about 2.5-3 hours with two people, and after studying a set up video. I would definitely watch some installation videos to make the directions make more sense. The box it came in had many holes, not packaged very well. A metal piece was dented at the header, but I was able to bend it back in place. We set it all up on a sunny day and let all the materials get nice and warm. All three windows went in quite smoothly. The twill looks very nice. Haven’t experienced rain, but it is noticeably quieter than my factory top. KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON YOUR SCREWS… I had two extra screws by the end of it all. Overall I was happy with how the installation went. I will try to remember to update this review once I’ve put a few miles on it and have been through some rain storms.

If you have a 2 door and you care how your Jeep looks when the top is folded down, you should read this review before buying. I really wanted to like this top, but I almost hate it! I’ve been researching fastback tops since I purchased my JK in December and I finally landed on this one. I was concerned about how the top lays once it’s folded down. I asked via Amazon if anyone could confirm how flat the 2 door lays since the picture online shows it lays really flat (like the factory top). One of the responses was from a Bestop rep and she confirmed that if folded properly the top lays flat like the picture shown. I know how to neatly fold a top down so based on her response, and all of the other research I did, I decided to purchase the top. I even paid to have it installed. When the weather finally allowed me to fold the top down I was very disappointed with how it lays. It looks horrible! The back bow that connects to your back roll bar does not allow the top to drop down below the back seat and all of the other hardware and thick fabric keeps the rest of it from folding neatly. I emailed a picture of my folded down top to Bestop hoping they would say I was somehow doing something wrong. I rec’d a response from a Bestop rep saying “yeah that’s exactly how mine sits”. We emailed back and forth a few more times. She never acknowledged that I was given incorrect info or that the picture shown with the top down is basically false advertising. She told me to keep playing with it, whatever that means. I will say I have the twill fabric and maybe the sailcloth lays differently because the material is a little thinner but I doubt it. I have purchased several Bestop products but I can honestly say between their subpar product, misleading advertising and super dismissive customer service, this very expensive, very unappealing top will be my last purchase from them.
