Q: Does this thread work well for machine quilting?

It's polyester thread - not cotton. Great for embroidery - but depending on the quilt type you are doing, it may not be the preferred thread. A bed quilt, made with cotton fabric should be quilted with cotton thread... a wall quilt or decorative quilt, this would probably be fine.
