Dymatize Vegan Plant Protein, Smooth Vanilla, 25g Protein, 4.8g BCAAs, Complete Amino Acid Profile, 15 Servings

I received this today and was presently surprised at how delicious it was. I ordered the vanilla for the versatility and variety of my uses. I mixed it with the powders shown and 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk, ground flaxseed, and a little ice. The texture was thick, but not gritty. I did not experience any grit or residue at the bottom of my cup. I did use my ninja cup to blend the ingredients together. I needed to find additional ways to include more protein in my diet. This definitively meets my needs. I am pleased with the low calorie option that this presents. It is a win-win for my post workout recovery and my nutritional goals. I have been so pleasantly surprised that I will be subscribing for shipments. Dymatize, thank you for such a wonderful product. I have tried plant protein in the past, and was not satisfied with the taste or texture. I used to use the whey protein offered by this company but I am trying to stay away from whey. I look forward to many more delicious combinations for this product. The only thing I did not like was the amount of servings, but the price point is acceptable. It pretty much balances out with other offerings.

UPDATE 2.7.23 : Well, guess what? I started mixing it with my organic instant coffe, well yes I like it, why no 5 stars? The servings!!!, why do protein makers will make a tub with less than 30 servings? "Ain't nobody got time for that" ordering every 20 days or even less. I know I know! It is Zero sugar, but it is extremely sweet, and by the list of ingredients there's no way of knowing until one tastes it. I'll finish the container, but I'm moving on to another product.

I love this protein powder. I've tried many - kos, vega, owyn, etc. Most I've found are thin after adding liquid, this is the only one I've found that thickens and leaves me feeling full until dinner. I mix it with water, bananas and spinach and I'm set. And the flavor is fantastic. It can be a bit clumpy, but that doesn't bother me. I like their regular protein powder too, it just has something like 10 grams of cholesterol and I'm trying to lower my cholesterol, and the plant version has 0 grams. The only thing I don't like is that I can't find their plant protein in the store. The only place I've had luck was Kroger, and I don't have a Kroger where I currently live. I hope they never discontinue it, I would be very sad.

I ended up ordering this based on the ingredients listed in the body of the listing. It turned out the ingredients were only half there because the actual label contained around 10 more that weren't listed. Amazon understood and refunded my money but did not want the product back. I ended up trying to use this protein twice and found it to be terrible for me. The flavor is hard to describe but I wouldn't go as far as calling it vanilla. The first time around I followed the instructions and found the flavor to be disgustingly sweet and I couldn't finish the first go around. I gave it a second try and doubled the recommended amount of water. It became slightly better but still not great. Compared to other vegan proteins I have tried this required a HUGE scoop of powder. I definitely would not buy again but it is ok @ the price of free.

Consumer reports published this brand (not product) as having the least amount of lead after Muscle Tech, with doesn't have a plant protein option so this is the best. It checks the boxes for being a complete protein with the right amino acids. Only problem is that it's voluminous and chalky, I can't really add two scoops into my fruit smoothie like I did with PlantFusion (but plant fusion has too much lead). It just takes up a lot of volume and I can't add enough water into my bullet smoothie blender, I would have to dissolve this product separately in water then add it to the smoothie but it's a lot of work. I have literally tried every plant protein on amazon over the years, and seriously I do not understand why this one takes so much freaking space in a smoothie, it's just so thick. Also it's only like, 15 servings, so if you're bulking and need to meet your body weight protein with this supplement and do two scoops like me, it only lasts for 1 week....that's crazy man.

I’ve tried a good plenty of protein powders out there and to me this was probably one of the worst! It’s so unbearably sweet, but not a good sweet -a very unnatural tasting sweet. It taste Terrible aside from sweetness. It’s like they knew it was terrible and said ‘let’s just put more Stevia’. It has a weird chalky and other off-putting tastes. I bought the Vanilla flavor thinking it should be mild. Wrong. The fact that you need sooo much to get your protein requirements is just no good. The scoop looks the size of almost a full 1cup of powder. Never seen a scoop so big. Fitting the large scooper into an 8oz glas was thick and just disgusting to taste. I had to dilute it with another 8oz more of liquid to choke it down and even then it was something I knew I didn’t want to ever do again. Tried blending it with other fruits - nothing could mask the taste. I had no change in energy. I don’t see how people are saying they like it. Or maybe these are paid reviews. Everyone in my household hated the taste. Unfortunately this company does not accept returns so I’m left telling you all to beware and figuring out how to use this without drinking it. I’ve had Jarrows plant based protein, orgain’s brand, KOS, and Vega. None were as terrible as this one. Vega is still my favorite. Best tasting and uses natural cane sugar. While I was looking to cut down sugar it looks like I won’t be able to if I care about taste. The only thing for me is that Vega gives small portions for the price. I’d like to find a plant protein that gives more than 10oz for my $20-$30 spend and Yates decent. Looks like that’s going to be a tall order in 2023. At any rate if you have regular taste buds and don’t like strong artificial chemical tasting powders then you’ll want to pass on this one.
