I'm a vegetarian and needed an easy to prepare meal at work. I saw the ads online and decided to give it a try. I really like the chik'n mushroom! I will say, I don't eat a heavy lunch and supplement the meal with an apple and drink, but it's easy, flavorful and holds me until dinner. One caveat: the preparation directions are legit. This meal needs hydration and takes a few minutes to do properly @ 5. You can't rush it. It's not instant and it takes time to absorb the water. I use a microwavable bowl with silicone cover to hold the heat in. Next I'm trying Cajun Pasta!

I would choose starvation every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Purchasing this item through Amazon yields no scoop. Not the biggest deal, just use a kitchen scale, but still mildly annoying. The cook time and water instructions are wrong. If you follow the directions you will get a soupy mess that SOMEHOW still has crunchy, stale noodles in the midst of the cat vomit taste. There is a faint hint of mushroom, but I figure that is by accident. The cat that vomited to create this taste profile must have eaten a mushroom before they profiled it. One star because it works as an appetite suppressant. If you can finish a bowl, you are so nauseous and offended by the concept of eating that you will not eat again for at least 12 hours.

Was missing the scoop on mine which its fine stuff happens. But it honestly does NOT taste good. 3 stars because macros are awesome tho

Easy to use, tastes good for being a complete nutritional meal. Doesn't give me gas, or tummy issues. Doesn't come with a measuring cup but I have one from when I've ordered from their site. It equals to approx. 1/2 cup( just under or level not heaping). Shake the bag!!!!!!! And add the appropriate amount of water to your texture preference .I don't like the taste as much when cooked in the heul cup. I prefer to do it in a corelle bowl with a tea plate on top of it to trap the steam.

Flavor was OK. Texture was the issue either the passes didn’t cook and you felt like you had chunks that weren’t supposed to be there or it was just mush with too much water still working on it.

Love Huel. This flavor is my favorite, glad they brought it back

I’m going to be straight up! I don’t know how the other flavors taste but this one is bad. (Chicken & Mushroom) To me it tasted like pasta and dirt. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a health food and they normally aren’t that flavorful but this is not good. I’ve eaten lots of challenging foods in my life so I’m not finicky about foods. I’ve eaten MREs for weeks, so I know when something taste bad. Huh, now that I think about it, it would make a good MRE. It does not cook per instructions, had to microwave longer than instructed. Had to add more water than instructed. Overall I was pretty disappointed.

Taste is pretty good, especially for an instant meal. Added a little extra seasoning to up the flavor some. The one thing that was negative was no scoop was provided and it's really hard to know how much you are putting in verse water because I have no clue the size scoop was supposed to be in it. Would be nice if they would say the ounce size of a serving if they are not going to provide the scoop. OR JUST GIVE US A DAMN SCOOP HUEL!!
