Why did you pick this product vs others?: Not much to say. Everyone knows ugly stiks are the best. Rod is really clean and aesthetically pleasing, Easy to transport, and built to withstand massive fish. Extremely good rod for the price point.

i've got two of these they're light and easy to handle very sensitive rod I think they're unbreakable my rods have to be tough fishing For Catfish on bottom your always getting hung up. I've been using the ugly stick for years. I have never had to return one ugly stick catfish special is the way to go. God bless catch your big one.

It's an ugly stick

You can't go wrong with an Ugly Stick. At least not yet. I have had a few of these and the only reason I need to replace them is my son and grandsons run off with them. They won't stand up to a truck door slam though. But I have had 35 lb. cats on them with 20 lb line and brought them in. I have had these rods doubled over on a troll snagged up good and wishing I had line that would break but didn't and neither did the rod. It dam near held the boat in fast current snagged up and all at the dam! For heavy cats and other big fish these are the ticket. I don't do much salt water but I wouldn't be surprised that in the right hands you could handle a Tuna or such with this rod,

I bought a used/ return/ scratch and dent Catfish Special Uglystik. It has some paint chipped off in one spot and I'm super happy with the discount I got. Wish I got this deal on all my fishing rods.

I bought the 2 piece 7ft. I love how lightweight it is for a catfish rod. I also have it paired with a Handing M1 4000 spinning reel. Its my favorite rod out of my others so far and I own a couple of other catfish rods (BnM, Beejay Bait, Zebco, etc.). Love them all but I love this one the most ❤️ I can definitely see myself grabbing this rod the most out of all my others ones 😅.

Great rod for a great price. Used it for pike fishing and it performed excellent. used it in -30C and not issues to report with the rod. I combined it with an abu garcia 6500S ambassador reel. Pike stood no chance. Would recommend to any angler.

Rod is good but the shipping sucked came in a plastic bag with no protection and a couple eyes bent,

The rod is nice, light, strong and sturdy but a little rough reeling and heavy weight casting, assuming due to too many eyelets along the pole. Used for striped bass fishing. Price is fair.
